Chryler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The side marker lights may not function due to an incompatible tail light assembly wiring harness. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: Nonfunctional side marker lights may reduce vehicle visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: FCA will replace the tail light assemblies, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 26, 2022 and August 3, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is Z43.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The high voltage (HV) battery pack assembly was built with incorrect fasteners to secure the 200-amp fuse, which can generate excessive heat.
Consequence: Excessive heat may cause the fuse to fail and result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the HV battery fuse, as necessary. Dealers will also inspect the battery assembly for damage and replace it, if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2022. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler, Ram 1500, and 2021-2022 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with 3.0L diesel engines. The high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) may fail, causing an engine stall.
This is a known death wobble problem of jeep which i got while driving on highway with my family and could have got into an accident if would not control vehicle that time. My dealer is charger me for this issue which is costing me around 1200 usd and they are going to change the parts 1. Damper, Steering, 2. Tie rod end-outer-right or left for both sides. This is something which should have been covered under recall as its a serious safety issue.
Shortly after my second time getting the battery looked at for the 4XE recall my vehicle was very sluggish from a stopped position with the pedal fully pressed. After 5-10 seconds the vehicle lunges forward aggressively as it goes from electric to gas mode
Driving at highway speed (65-70mph) on curve with slight road surface deviation experienced the infamous "Death Wobble". Slowed to 45-50 mph before vehicle steering returned to normal. The steering dampener was previously replaced to fix the first time this happened. Apparently this is not a fox.
There is a class action lawsuit for 2021-2023 Jeeps where the power steering catches fire. That happened to us.
I am filing this complaint regarding serious safety and consumer protection concerns involving my 2022 Jeep Wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ), manufactured by Stellantis, as well as issues involving the towing company E&R Towing following my accident. Prior to my accident on November 8, 2025, my vehicle experienced multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including overheating, shaking while driving, and abnormal loud noises. These issues raised serious safety concerns and were not properly resolved. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a rollover accident. Following the accident, Stellantis initiated an investigation and retained Bosch/Engineering Analysis Associates to extract Event Data Recorder (EDR) data from my vehicle. While presented as an independent inspection, this analysis was conducted by a vendor hired by Stellantis, raising concerns about the objectivity and scope of the findings. Stellantis ultimately denied responsibility, stating that the conditions of the crash did not meet the threshold for airbag deployment. However, this conclusion fails to address the ongoing mechanical and safety issues I experienced prior to the accident, including the possibility of system or sensor malfunction. Additionally, my claim for relief under Illinois Lemon Law was denied without fully considering the pattern of defects and safety concerns. I have also filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Complaint #XXX, regarding safety concerns with this vehicle. Following the accident, my vehicle was handled by E&R Towing. I have concerns regarding how my vehicle was managed after the crash, including the handling process and lack of transparency regarding procedures and fees. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicles equipped with 2.0L Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle engines. A loss of communication may cause an engine shutdown.
Consequence: An engine shutdown can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: There is more than one involved component and calibration software. Updating the calibration software in the Transmission Control Module, Hybrid Control Processor and Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor that changes fail safe from shut down to limp home. Dealers will update the transmission control module software, Hybrid Control Processor and Auxiliary Hybrid Control Processor, free of charge. Component: POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2023 Jeep Wrangler, and 2020-2023 Jeep Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. The clutch pressure plate may overheat and fracture.
Consequence: Overheated clutch components may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, damage to other nearby components can result in debris falling onto the road or a loss of drive, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the clutch assembly and update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed from November 16, 2023 through July 25, 2024. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. A stud on the frame assembly may puncture the fuel tank in a crash, which can result in a fuel leak.
Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Component: POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Chrysler (FCA US), LLC is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles equipped with a manual transmission. The rearview camera may fail to display the rearview image and the reverse lights may not illuminate when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: A disabled rearview image can decrease the driver's visibility of the rear view, and disabled reverse lights may not alert others that the vehicle is reversing, increasing the risk of injury or crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence: A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to recharge their vehicles, and to park outside and away from structures, until they are repaired. Dealers will update the high voltage battery pack software and replace the battery pack assembly if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 7, 2024. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Consequence: An instrument panel that fails to display critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, can increase the risk of a crash.

Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a center brake light that fails to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 6, 2025. Vehicles that were previously recalled for the same issue under NHTSA Recalls 24V720 and 23V787 will need to have the new remedy performed.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle experienced the death wobble. No warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The contact pulled over twice and drove 65 MPH on the way to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering damper and tie rod needed to be replaced. The steering damper and tie rod were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. However, the failure reoccurred several times. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,998.
The issues lies in the Hybrid systems electric only function. When climbing grades, the vehicle experiences severe power loss which can be felt by the driver and is displayed by the vehicle on the dashboard information cluster. Power output from the hybrid system drops to or below 50% output even when pressing the accelerator to maximum. This issue occurs almost every time climbing a steep grade regardless of exterior temps. After losing speed and power on a steep grade while working the accelerator to or near maximum application the engine is activated abruptly without warning and without the proper hybrid warm up sequence and causes startling shifting by the powertrain and jerks the vehicle. This behavior began after Recall 68C was performed and hybrid Battery replacement.
My 2022 Jeep Wrangler has an ongoing issue involving an oil and diesel leak, which creates a hazardous driving condition and poses a fire and safety risk. The vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times (4 repair attempts) for the same issue, and the problem remains unresolved. Due to the severity of the leak, the vehicle is unsafe to operate and requires towing to the dealership. Despite repeated repair attempts, the manufacturer has failed to provide a permanent fix and has denied further assistance based on procedural reasons (vehicle not currently at dealership, mileage, and warranty concerns). I am concerned this is a broader safety defect that could affect other vehicles.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that approximately one month prior to receiving notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); the vehicle experienced electrical failures and the battery failed to hold a charge, and the vehicle was not operational. Additionally, the transmission was extremely low on transmission fluid, and the differential was leaking oil. The contact stated that after the recall repair was completed, the previous failures worsened. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,300.
DEATH WOBBLE repeatedly while traveling on the highway at speeds above 60 MPH. Where is a terrain surface change, asphalt to bridge or and seam in the road cause a violent shaking of the front of the car. This has happened multiple times. I took the car to a car repair, there was no visual issues seen, but the repair people told me they no longer buy Jeeps as their personal vehocle because of the death wobble. They did not recommend a sway bar because in their experience it did not correct the issue.
"Performance Limited Service Fuel System"- showing while slowing down/coasting to a stop ion a 2022 Wrangler 2.0 Dealer can not help- they mentioned there is no recall and that they can not do anything about it.
My 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe experienced a sudden loss of power while driving on Interstate 285 in Atlanta during rush hour traffic. The vehicle began shaking and lunging forward unpredictably while I attempted to exit the highway. With hazard lights on, I slowly crept the vehicle to the dealership because it could barely move. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for Recall 68C related to the hybrid battery system. This incident created a dangerous situation on a major interstate and could have caused a serious accident.
I do believe the part that is failing on the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is the “Steering Dampner” and anyone at anytime is MORE than welcome to look at and inspect touched or feel it. This is SAFETY RISK has the entire vehicle starts to shake and wobble uncontrollably and without warning. If not for quick reflexes we would have been in a chain reaction crash. Was able to release gas and coast to under 50mph making lots of people behind me unhappy. The dealer said he repaired dampner when we had 4,000 miles, now again at 16,700 miles it’s back and we almost ended upside down in a river. Either Jeep or NHTSA must need people to die before they can make truly effective repairs or just remove this model form inventory. I believe it has to be more than just a dampner and the front suspension parts should all be looked at. There was ABSOLUTELY no warnings, lights, sounds, or indication that we were almost plunged to our death. Angels had to be riding with us. Let’s get this fixed!! PLEASE
We took the car in for the death shake and were informed there was a recall on the Jeep (25V741000). The dealership performed the maintenance work. The 12V battery was also inspected and listed as good. Since the repair, the 12V battery has shorted multiple times and finally ceased running yesterday. It has been two weeks since the dealership recall repair. While the recall specifically impacted the HV battery, the 12V is interconnected and the liklihood of that battery being impacted is high. The safety impact is the car temporarily not being able to gain power after stopping at red lights and the battery draining when stopped or turned off. The check engine light appears every time.
We have had the death wobble happen several times when driving. It was so violently shaking we tried to stop quick on a 75 mph hiway. Very dangerous and scary. This has happened many times over the last month. Had wheels realignment and new shocks. Still happening
