VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THE LOWER CONTROL ARM ATTACHING BRACKETS CAN CRACK DUE TO FATIGUE AND SEPARATE FROM THE ENGINE CRADLE.
Consequence: IF THIS OCCURS, THE TRANSMISSION HALF-SHAFT COULD PULL OUT OF THE TRANSAXLE AND RESULT IN LOSS OF POWER.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REINFORCE THE ENGINE CRADLE AT THE POINT WHERE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM ATTACHES TO IT.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES BUILT WITH 3.5L ENGINES. THE FUEL INJECTION DELIVERY SYSTEM CAN LEAK FUEL FROM SOME OF THE SEALING O-RINGS OR FROM HAIR LINE CRACKS IN THE THERMOSET FUEL INJECTION RAIL.
Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL RAIL O-RINGS AND REINFORCE THE OUTLET (PASSENGER) SIDE FUEL RAIL. VEHICLES SHOWING FUEL LEAKAGE ON THE OUTLET FUEL RAIL MUST HAVE THE OUTLET RAIL REPLACED WHICH INCLUDES CHANGING THE UPPER AND LOWER INJECTOR O-RINGS. HOWEVER, IF A VEHICLE IS LEAKING FUEL FROM THE O-RINGS OR FROM A CRACKED FUEL LINE, THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO A DEALER TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, MY DRIVERS SEAT BACK FELL BACK. I HAD TO CLUTCH THE STEERING WHEEL TO STAY UPRIGHT AND TRAVELED TO ANOTHER LANE BUT LUCKILY DID NOT HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE FOUND REFERENCE ON THE INTERNET TO A RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM ON OTHER 1995 EAGLE VISIONS, BUT OUR DEALER STATES THAT MY CAR IS NOT COVERED ON THIS RECALL. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE SHIFTER ARM WAS DIFFICULT TO SHIFT FROM THE PARK POSITION TO DRIVE OR REVERSE WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED. TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS ADDED EVERY WEEK OR TWO, WHICH SEEMED TO MAKE SHIFTING EASIER. THE AIR CONDITIONER FAILED AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DETERMINED THE COIL WAS FLAT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED.
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED THE BOLTS IN RACK AND PINION STEERING HAD TO BE TIGHTENED CONSTANTLY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR TWO YEARS. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY STATED IT WAS WEAR AND TEAR. WHEN THE BOLTS BECAME LOOSE THE WHEEL LOCKED. CONSUMER CONTINUED TO TIGHTEN THE BOLTS, BUT IT ONLY LASTED FOR NO MORE THAN A WEEK. *AK

ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE FLOOR SHIFTER IGNITION-PARK INTERLOCK MAY FAIL AND ALLOW THE SHIFTER TO BE MOVED OUT OF THE PARK POSITION WITH THE KEY REMOVED. AN INOPERATIVE INTERLOCK MAY ALSO ALLOW THE KEY TO BE REMOVED WHEN THE SHIFTER HAS NOT BEEN PLACED IN THE PARK POSITION.
Consequence: EITHER CIRCUMSTANCE MAY RESULT IN THE VEHICLE ROLLING AWAY WITHOUT WARNING.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW LOAD-LIMITING PUSH ROD INTO THE FLOOR SHIFTER LEVER OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN ON JUNE 14, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.
CONSUMER RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN 99V215000; DAIMLER CHRYSLER ISSUED AN ENGINE CRADLE RECALL. THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO VIN BUT HAD THE CONTROL ARM BRACKET COME OFF THE ENGINE CRADLE.*AK

'RECALL CAMPAIGN' RECEIVED AFTER 7 TRANSMISSION HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN 1995 EAGLE VISION. *BF THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE SHIFTING BUT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO EXHIBIT MOVEMENT/NON MOVEMENT AT TIMES. THE VEHICLE WENT INTO REVERSE WITH NO OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE AND THE GEAR INDICATOR REMAINED IN THE PARK POSITION. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF THE ORIGINAL COST OF THE VEHICLE. *SC ON ONE OF THE SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CONSUMER WAS PINNED BETWEEN THE CAR AND THE GARAGE DOOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WENT INTO REVERSE WITH NO OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE AND THE GEAR INDICATOR WAS STILL IN PARK. *JB
TRANSMISSION SHIFTED FROM FOURTH GEAR TO SECOND ON ITS ON. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC INSISTED THAT THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. CONSUMER INFORMED THE DEALER THAT PROBLEM OCCURRED MORE THAN ONCE AND HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *AK VEHICLE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED ON ITS OWN FROM 4TH GEAR TO 2ND GEAR WHILE IN MOTION. *TC
WHILE DRIVING RACK AND PINION FAILED. THIS CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO LOSE POWER STEERING TEMPORALLY. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING GAS FUME ODOR WAS COMING FROM THE VENTS. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER, AND DEALER INFORMED CONSUMER THAT RECALL 96V158002 FOR REPLACEMENT OF FUEL TANK AS ISSUED. MECHANIC REPLACED IT ON THIS VEHICLE. BUT, CONSUMER INFORMED THE MECHANIC THAT PROBLEM RECURRED, AND HAD NOT BEEN RESOLVED. *AK

I PURCHASED MY 1995 EAGLE VISION FROM NORTHTOWNE IN AMHERST, NY, IN 2001. EIGHT MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED IT, THE TRANSMISSION WENT, I HAD ANOTHER INSTALLED. I LATER LEARNED THAT EAGLES WERE KNOWN FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE-MY TRANSMISSION WENT AGAIN ON 2/13/04 COSTING ME $810, I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A CLAIM AGAINST THE COMPANY AS I FEEL THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE AND FEAR I WILL BE PUTTING IN ANOTHER TRANSMISSION WITHIN THE NEXT YEAR AS I HAVE BEEN DOING. *JB
HEAD ON, BROAD SIDE COLLISION. FRONT DRIVERS TIRE CAME THROUGH THE FLOOR BOARD TRAPPING AND CRUSHING BOTH LEGS FROM FEET TO FEMUR. HOOD CAME THRU WINDSHIELD, DRIVERS AIRBAG DEPLOYED LATE, CAUSING DRIVER TO HIT WINDSHIELD, HOOD, PILLAR AND WINDOW.*AK
THE CONSUMER'S BABY SEAT WASN'T PROPERLY INSTALLED. WHEN ANCHORED BY THE LAP/SHOULDER BELT TIGHTLY, THE SEAT LEANS TO THE SIDE AND WORK ITSELF OUT OF POSITION WHEN TAKING THE BABY IN/OUT OF THE SEAT. SCC
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION WITH A GUARD RAIL AND NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. FEEL FREE TO PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
