Component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2022 Rogue vehicles. Due to a manufacturing error, an area on the bottom wall of the fuel tank may be too thin.
Consequence: Road debris may puncture the thin fuel tank wall, causing a gas leak and increasing the risk of a fire. In addition, the fuel tank may not perform as expected during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel tank assembly and install a new lock ring, gasket, and o-ring seal, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 19, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC887.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Rogue, 2022 Frontier, Pathfinder, and Titan rental vehicles. When the Sirius XM subscription is set to "Not Subscribed," it may cause the infotainment head unit to reboot, resulting in an inoperative rearview camera. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The Infotainment system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 29, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22A5 PC901 PC902.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2022 Rogue vehicles. The fuel tank may have been punctured when vehicle modifications were performed.
Hi! This is my 2nd input here about my 2022 Nissan Rogue. Recaping that whike driving home, smoke began to emerge from under the hood and multiple warning signs popped up (please see previous input for more information). Cureentky, my vehicle was diagnosed with a converter issue. The recent recall was related to the engine. The converter and my spark plugs (2 spark plugs replaced already) were all damaged by the engine. This makes sense why there are numerous issues. While the extended warranty covers the engine and not the converter, under the law of consequential damage, anything damaged by this engine is covered due to the cause from the engine. I currently have a rental and am leaving my Rogue at the dealership due to it being unsafe to drive and that the dealership has not provided a remedy for this defect, which is covered by law under this recall on the Rogue due to consequential damage. My Rogue will continue to have issues until all related/noncoverd parts are fixed under this. This vehicle is now a lemon due to consistent issue with the engine it damaging other parts. I am hoping for a good will pay and buyback.
While driving home, multiple alerts showed up on the dashboard about my engine and to check the manual. Smoke began to come up from the engine and smelled really bad. I heard a rattling as well. The recall work was done on this not too long ago, coming up on 1 year ago, and still have engine difficulties after they replaced the entire engine and did the recall repair.
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH in Canada, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact exited the highway and pulled over to the side of the road. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact inspected the engine compartment but could not find a failure. The vehicle was restarted but failed to exceed 25-30 MPH while driving. The vehicle was taken to a Canadian dealer, where an oil change, a turbocharger hose, and other unknown repairs were performed. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine and Cooling), which the contact associated with the failure. The vehicle was taken to Steven Nissan (2275 E Market St, Harrisonburg, VA 22801); where the recall repair was completed. Additionally, the contact filed a reimbursement claim with the manufacturer for previous repairs and provided the supporting documents; however, the reimbursement claim was denied. The failure mileage was approximately 64,280.

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Rogue vehicles. The rear seat belts for the left-hand and right-hand rear seats may not retract properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," and 209, "Seatbelt Assemblies."
Consequence: Seat belts that do not retract properly may be difficult to operate, preventing their usage, which can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rear seat belts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 27, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC915.

The in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system may continuously reboot when the vehicle is restarted, which can result in an inoperative rearview display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.
Consequence: Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 8, 2026. Vehicle experiences repeated engine malfunction with power reduced condition while driving. Vehicle loses acceleration and may not exceed approximately 30 to 40 mph despite full throttle input. Condition occurs intermittently and is worsening. Vehicle has also developed oil odor after operation. Dealer has performed multiple diagnostics and repairs but condition persists. Root cause has not been clearly identified and diagnosis has included conflicting explanations involving EGR system, sensors and turbocharger. This condition creates a safety risk due to sudden loss of power while driving in traffic.
My car is just 3 years old has reduced power warning and continuous engine light on. Despite several reminders, calls to Nissan Marietta Dealership as well as Nissan Consumer Affairs, issue has not been resolved. My car is not in a driving condition and they have wrongly changed the battery and charged me instead of taking care of recall or repairing the engine light issue. They keep changing their diagnostic results. I request immediate resolution and attention of Nissan in this matter by a qualified technician.
Subject: URGENT SAFETY COMPLAINT - 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: XXX) - Recall Remedy Failure I am filing a formal complaint regarding a life-threatening defect in my 2022 Nissan Rogue. This vehicle has experienced three (3) total losses of motive power at highway speeds, nearly causing multiple accidents. I am now afraid to drive this vehicle as it remains a substantial safety hazard. Recall & Repair Failure: The vehicle is subject to Recalls R25E2 and R25E3 for engine bearing and throttle body failure. The dealership performed an ECM software update which effectively removed the "open recall" status from my VIN history. However, the dealer refused to perform the mandatory physical oil pan inspection for metal debris required by the recall protocol. The car still exhibits severe bucking, hesitation, and gurgling noises. By only performing a software "fix," the manufacturer has cleared the safety alert while leaving a catastrophic mechanical defect unaddressed. This is a complete remedy failure. 30-Day Out-of-Service & Misdiagnosis: In January 2025, the dealership retained my vehicle for over 30 days. During this stay, the service department initially informed me via text that the engine required a full replacement. The following day, they abruptly changed the diagnosis to spark plugs. I have text records of this contradiction. This 30-day stay meets the statutory presumption of a "Lemon" under Florida Statute 681.104. Unresolved Issues: Despite replacing the throttle body, EGR valve, water pump, and various mounts, the engine still stumbles, especially from a stop. The dealer manager previously discussed a vehicle swap but attempted to force a new credit application, treating a safety-defect remedy as a new sale. I am seeking a Substitution of Collateral (Swap) on my existing loan terms for a reliable vehicle. On 02/22/2026 my 2022 Nissan Rogue began sputtering as it was being driven. Was able to finally get pulled over where the engine died and would not start. Almost hit another car because did not have brakes or power steering. Was taken by tow truck to local Nissan dealer where the Tech confirmed the EGR valve was faulty and possibly caused severe engine damage. No warning lights were displayed just the engine sputtering and running rough.
My 2022 Nissan Rogue experienced sudden engine failure due to coolant loss and a blown head gasket while driving. The engine became inoperable and the dealership denied coverage. This appears to be a premature engine defect and created a safety risk due to sudden loss of power.
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and decelerated to approximately 10 MPH. The message "Engine Malfunction" was displayed. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was restarted, but failed to respond while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine had failed due to the failure of the camshaft and three other unknown parts around the camshaft. The dealer determined that the failure was not related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) because the engine had not failed due to rod bearing failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered a 70 percent reduction in the cost of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.
My 2022 Nissan Rogue VC-Turbo has progressively worsening engine knocking and vibration since ~30,000 miles. Dealer documented: “Found variable compression ratio actuator to be making noise” (see repair order). Symptoms persist at idle, acceleration, and when warm. Recall 25V-437 is marked complete, but the actuator continues to make noise, indicating the defect is not fully remedied. Nissan Consumer Affairs offered 50% financial assistance toward the actuator repair (email attached), and the dealer requested a diagnostic fee, which I have not paid and formally dispute, as the inspection relates to a potential safety defect. The actuator controls the internal multi-link compression system connected to the crankshaft, Progressive knocking and vibration may indicate stress on internal bearings and failure could lead to loss of engine power or engine seizure while driving, creating a serious safety risk. Vehicle is originally owned, maintained at Nissan dealerships, and has a branded title solely for cosmetic hail damage, with documentation confirming no structural or mechanical impact. I request NHTSA record this complaint, evaluate potential safety defect, and consider further investigation. I can provide repair orders, service records, and videos of the noise if needed.

I have been in and out of the shop since May of 2025 I have a paper trail of all dates and events including the times I did go in for a recall the times I was changed whe I should have never been charged , bout 3 or 4 times . I’m on the interstate and I’m going like 74/75/76 and my speed drops on me to like a 10-15 and I try to move as quickly as possible because everyyyyy time that has happened to me it’s either I’m finna cause an accident or an accident between me and another or two other HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO VOICE THIS , I’m afraid I will lose my life behind this vehicle because of these issue and what make it so bad I keep Being told it’s not due to the recall but in fact I know it is I will get a lawyer involved if I have to just this pass month in February I went through the same thing again and I keep being responsible for the repairs that have something to do with the engine but Miracle Nissan of Augusta on Washington rd keep telling me it’s not that when it is. On [XXX] I was traveling with my [XXX] daughter from Phoenix, AZ up to Flagstaff, AZ. The Nissan Rogue associated with the VIN number is my wife's. Vehicle only has 24,000 miles on it and we currently have a Nissan Security+Plus extended warranty, [XXX]. We were cruising along nicely and all of the sudden many warning signs appeared stating "Malfunction, See Owner's Manual". The vehicle turbo essentially lost all boost rendering the engine nearly powerless. I have read many reports of this being a possible issue with the motor, but there is currently no recall on it. That is a potential catastrophic failure and I'm afraid it will happen again. We were able to get the vehicle to a Big O Tire in Flagstaff, AZ since the Nissan dealer there couldn't see the vehicle. They hooked it out to a diagnostic, cleared out all the warning codes, and the vehicle starting producing boost and working properly again. We made it safely back down to Phoenix. I'm very worried this could happen again and wondering why this major glitch isn't being recalled. Has Nissan considered a full buy back on these vehicles? Please advise.
