General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2007-2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles equipped with non-desiccated, passenger frontal air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Consequence: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the front passenger or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2020. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-866-522-9559. GM's number for this recall is N192290990.

CUES, INC. IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2009 SERVICE VEHICLES BUILT ON VARIOUS CHASSIS EQUIPPED WITH CARRIER AIRV CEILING UNITS, MODEL NOS. 68RV0010BA, 68RV0012CA, AND 68RV0010EA. THE HEATER ELEMENT IN THESE ASSEMBLIES MAY BE DEFECTIVE WHICH COULD CAUSE THE UNIT TO CREATE SMOKE OR SPARKS.
Consequence: THIS DEFECT COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

I purchased my new 2007 Chevy duramax diesel with an already installed fabtech lift kit. My pitman arm has snapped 3 times since I purchased my truck leaving me with complete steering loss. I have had to replace all steering components several times. My truck is unsafe due to a fabtech lift kit that the dealer installed before I purchased it. Led Schwab was the installer. I have several complaints with nhtsa and vsh.
Rattling noise in intermediate shaft of steering column and key tumbler is sticky
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REFUELING, DIESEL FUEL SPRAYED BACK OUT OF THE FILLER NECK. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE DESIGN OF THE FILLER NECK TO THE FUEL TANK WAS DEFECTIVE. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO REACH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 285,064.
WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 35 MPH, I HAD TO STOP FOR A GARBAGE TRUCK DOING A TRASH PICKUP. WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES ON MY PICKUP, THE BRAKES TOTALLY FAILED AND I NEARLY DROVE ANOTHER CAR INTO THE BACK OF THE GARBAGE TRUCK. THAT AVERTED CRASH WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE KILLED THE CAR'S DRIVER. I AVOIDED A CRASH BY A RAPID TURN INTO THE ONCOMING LANE JUST AS A CAR COMING TOWARD ME CLEARED THE OPPOSING LANE. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN MAINTAINED PROFESSIONALLY AND THE BRAKE FAILURE WAS A GREAT SHOCK TO ME. MY TRUCK IS A 2007 CHEVY SILVERADO 3500 DUALLY.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 18, 2007, to June 22, 2011, and GMC Sierra HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 22, 2007, to June 21, 2011, and equipped with an auxiliary battery. Owners may unknowingly draw too much current through the vehicle's trailer harness resulting in the melting of fusible link for the auxiliary battery.
Consequence: If the fusible link melts it may come into contact with adjacent components, damage the electrical center cover, the nearby wiring harness conduit and other vehicle components, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: GM will notify owners and dealers will replace the jumper harness with one that includes a 40 amp inline fuse, and provide the owner with supplemental Owner Manual information, free of charge. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD trucks manufactured November 28, 2006, to August 29, 2008, and 2007-2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks manufactured November 27, 2006, to August 29, 2008. The affected vehicles are equipped with a passenger side frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment.
Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants, potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on July 27, 2015. A RECALL WAS IMPLEMENTED IN 2008 TO ADD A FUSE TO THE CONTROL CIRCUIT HARNESS TO ADDRESS THE POTENTIAL CONSEQUENCES OF A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD (PCB) ELECTRICAL SHORT. HOWEVER, THERE HAVE BEEN NEW REPORTS OF THERMAL INCIDENTS ON HWFS MODULES AFTER THIS IMPROVEMENT WAS INSTALLED. THESE INCIDENTS RESULTED FROM A NEW FAILURE MODE ATTRIBUTED TO THE DEVICE'S THERMAL PROTECTION FEATURE. THE SIGNIFICANCE VARIES FROM MINOR DISTORTION TO CONSIDERABLE MELTING OF THE PLASTIC AROUND THE HWFS FLUID CHAMBER.
Consequence: IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE HEATED WASHER MODULE TO IGNITE AND A FIRE MAY OCCUR.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL PERMANENTLY DISABLE AND REMOVE THE HEATED WASHER FLUID MODULE. AN UPDATED PAGE FOR THE OWNER MANUAL WILL BE PROVIDED AND INSERTED IN THE OWNER MANUAL TO DOCUMENT THAT THE FEATURE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, STEERING WHEEL SHAKES, SLIGHTLY, YET NOTICEABLY. ANY SPEED. THE SHAKE IS CONSISTENT, FEELS WORSE WHEN TURNING OR(DRIFTING) RIGHT I ON FREEWAY. HAVE HAD STEERING GEAR BOX, PITMAN ARM, AND ROAD FORCE BALANCING PERFORMED, TO NO RELIEF. UPON SELF INSPECTION, LEFT WHEEL SEEMS (TIGHTER) AND NOT AS LOOSE TO HAND MANIPULATION, RIGHT WHEEL IS NOTICEABLY LOOSE WITH SLIGHT NOISE INDICATIVE TO A LOOSE OR WORN TIE ROD. VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW. IT HAS BEEN TO 5 GM DEALERSHIPS TO ATTEMPT A FIX OF THIS PROBLEM. A LAWSUIT WAS FINALIZED APRIL 2019. GM WAS FORCED TO COMPENSATE OWNER YET NO FIX WAS PERFORMED.
TAKATA RECALL MY DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN THREE DIFFERENT SPOTS 2 AROUND PASSENGERS AIR BAG ONE OVER GAGE CLUSTER. NOT SURE IF CAR WAS IN MOTION OR SITTING WHEN IT HAPPEN.
"TAKATA RECALL" - I RECEIVED MY LETTER REGARDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG RECALL DATED JULY 2015. I CONTACTED CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS AND THEY WERE NO HELP AND KEPT TELLING ME THE VEHICLE WAS "SAFE" TO DRIVE EVEN THOUGH THE LETTER SAYS DISCHARGE OF THE AIRBAG COULD CAUSE "INJURY OR DEATH TO OCCUPANTS." ON 2/15/17 I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO BLADE CHEVROLET AND ASKED THEM TO FIX THE RECALL. THEY JUST DOCUMENTED THAT THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. IT IS GOING ON TWO YEARS NOW - THIS IS UNREASONABLE. I CAN'T USE THE TRUCK FOR INTENDED USE - EXTENDED CAMPING TRIPS - OR EVEN SELL IT FOR TOP DOLLAR WITH A SAFETY RECALL THAT IS NOT BEING FIXED.

I AM STARTING TO BELIEVE WE ARE BECOMING A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY WITH GM GETTING AWAY THIS TYPE OF SAFETY RECALL AND NOW THERE SHOULD BE ANOTHER RECALL ON THE DASH NOW CRACKING IN SEVERAL PLACES AND LOOKING ONLINE THERE ARE MANY OTHER'S CRACKING IN THE SAME PLACE AND FALLING APART. TAKATA RECALL COME ON GM...MY HONDA DEALSHIP CONTACTED ME (AND I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS CAR, NOT SURE HOW THEY FOUND ME) AND SCHEDULED AN APPT, AND FIXED MY AIRBAG...THIS ALL HAPPENED IN LESS THAN A WEEK AND LITTLE IF ANY INCONVENIENCE TO ME. GM GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.
BRAKE LINE FAILURE FROM RUST ON A VEHICLE WITH LESS THAN 82,000 MILES ON IT. ALL THE LINES MUST BE REPLACED. FAILED IN MODERATE SPEED IN MAJOR TRAFFIC JAM. SECOND FAILURE ON SAME VEHICLE. AFTER FIRST FAILURE ALL LINE WERE INSPECTED AND NO PROBLEMS WERE NOTED. APPARENTLY WITHOUT PERFORMING AN ULTRASOUND THICKNESS ANALYSIS IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE CONDITION OF THE BRAKE LINES.
