The contact owns a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of fuel. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact stated that there was an abnormal scraping sound coming from the front wheel hubs on the driver’s and passenger’s side wheels. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, there was brake fluid leaking from the brake lines, causing the braking distance to be extended. The contact was provided with an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

Purchased this vehicle from a friend who was inherited from his father’s estate. He hadn’t driven the vehicle for sometime. When meeting up at the DMV to transfer ownership he noticed that the brakes were spongy. And purchased some brake fluid in case the fluid was low. Neither my friend or myself are mechanically impaired so We made the exchange of ownership and went on our way home. When we arrived my step father felt the need to investigate the issue. He discovered that every brake line under the drivers seat back approximately 24” were so rusted and soaked with brake fluid that fluid was dripping and making a puddle and was unable to pinpoint where the hole was at that time. We decided that the vehicle was too dangerous to drive, and returned to [XXX] to retrieve his trailer to bring the Escalade to his shop for safety reasons. We tried researching and did find where GM’s SUV’s did have a recall on this matter. The Cadillac is in excellent condition inside and out. The leather seats other than the drivers show no wear at all. Carpets show no wear. The exterior is in excellent shape without chips or dings. Basically a like new with 104,000. Miles which is considered low miles for its age. For our assessment of this issue that no matter the age of the vehicle, the Manufacturer should in fact take responsibility, and there for replace the brake lines, and the necessary bleeding of the system. The problem is in the anti-lock braking system. When the vehicle slows to under 15 mph. and you apply the brakes the brake pedal" kick back" occurs with loss of braking . Making the vehicle a hazard to drive. Now with repeated depression of the brake pedal the vehicle does stop. But, if you are approaching a stopped car or some other stationary object a collision could occur. Thankfully this has not happened to me or my wife, as we are aware of this condition and prepare for it while stopping the car. The reason why this happens is because GM no longer produces the part that would alleviate this condition. The part is known as a Brake Pressure Warning Switch, part # 88983914. It is part of the ABS system. I have spent countless hours on the internet trying to obtain this part, but to no avail. When you look up the part web sights will show you a picture of the part, but when you click on it you always get the same message, "part not available." I believe that this is a safety issue that GM could alleviate by producing it again. Last week I had my Escalade in for an oil change at Anschuetz Chevrolet, (where I bought this vehicle), while there I spoke with the service manager who told me "this is not an isolated problem." We can't get some parts for vehicles that are only 10 years old. This is terrible that a corporation manufactures a product then does not continue to make replacement parts for that product making it obsolete. Or in my case causing an issue with SAFETY! Please, would you look into this growing problem to help make my vehicle whole and safe. In essence what GM is doing is telling all of us: "Well if you can't get the part you want to fix your car simply buy a new one. I await your answer, please help.

Driving carefully out of [XXX] here in Walker Minnesota using the newly opened east side of the parking lot exit and 50 feet later as I accelerated the Heavy Full size spare tire fell from under the rear of the truck and my 2002 Cadillac EXT left the ground as the tire bounced back up against the truck!!! If we had been going faster and in a Different area we may have been Killed! It's a terrible design to store a full size and very heavy spare tire. I DIDNT THINK THE TRUCK WOULD STOP SO I SWERVED TO THE RIGHT IN ORDER TO MISS THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME THAT HAD ALREADY STOPPED. LUCKILY MY TRUCK STOPPED, BUT IT WAS RATHER SCARY. IT HAS HAPPENED TO MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER ALSO. THERE WAS A RECALL ISSUED FOR CHEVROLET AND GMC VEHICLES IN THE " SEVERE CORROSION" AREAS, OHIO BEING ONE OF THE STATES, WHICH IS WHERE I LIVE. THE RECALL # IS 05068A. I AM CURIOUS WHY CADILLAC VEHICLES WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE SAME ISSUE IS HAPPENING AND IS GETTING MORE AND MORE FREQUENT. ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN STOP SIGN, I HAD TO STEP HARD ON BRAKE PEDAL TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. SHORTLY AFTER I NOTICED THE BRAKE PEDAL GETTING CLOSER TO "BOTTOMING OUT" EACH TIME I APPLIED THE BRAKES. UPON ARRIVING HOME I FOUND, ON THE LEFT SIDE UNDERCARRIAGE BELOW THE BACK SEAT, FLUID DRIPPING AND APPROXIMATELY 24" OF THE FRAME AND UNDERCARRIAGE SATURATED WITH BRAKE FLUID. WHEN I CRAWLED UNDER THE VEHICLE I TRACED THE BRAKE LINE FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER BACK AND FOUND THE LINES TO BE RUSTED. THE LINE THAT IS LEAKING MUST HAVE RUSTED THRU. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO DESIGN I CANNOT SEE THE BREAK IN THE LINE NOR, IT APPEARS, CAN I REPAIR IT MYSELF DUE TO ACCESSIBILITY.

A QUICK INSPECTION FOUND MISSING AND RUSTED EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF MY ENGINE, CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK. THIS LEAK CREATES NOT ONLY A DANGEROUS CO2 LEAK WITHIN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT (WHICH ALSO CAN BE DRAWN INTO THE CABIN'S HVAC SYSTEM), BUT IT ALSO RAISES ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS, AS THE LEAKING EXHAUST IS NOT BEING PROPERLY TREATED VIA THE VEHICLE'S CATALYTIC CONVERTER. WHILE DRIVING MY CADILLAC ESCALADE WITH MY FAMILY AND BRAKING AT A LOW SPEED (LESS THAN 15 MPH) THE ABS SYSTEM SEEMED TO HAVE GONE OFF WITHOUT THE ABS LIGHT GOING ON AND SUBSEQUENTLY THIS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME HAD I NOT PULLED TOWARD THE CURB. I WENT ON THE INTERNET TO RESEARCH THE ISSUE AND FOUND THAT THIS IS QUITE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS CAR AS MANY OTHER OWNERS HAVE REPORTED IT. SUBSEQUENTLY THEREAFTER THE ISSUE HAS BEEN RE-OCCURRING AND I BROUGHT IT TO MY LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER. I TOLD THE SERVICE CENTER WHAT MY RESEARCH FOUND AND BECAUSE A COMPUTER SCAN DID NOT EVEN PICK UP THE ISSUE THEY DECIDED T IT MIGHT BE DUE TO THE ABS SENSORS BEING DIRTY ALSO THE SERVICE CENTER REPRESENTATIVE AND MECHANIC BOTH SAID TO ME THAT THEY HAVE SEEN THIS ISSUE A NUMBER OF TIMES. THEY CLEANED OFF THIS ABS SENSOR AT WHICH TIME A TEST REVEALED THAT ONE OF THE SENSORS WAS READING IMPROPERLY. SO THEY SAID TO REPAIR IT I NEED TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY ON THAT SIDE. AFTER THEY CHANGED THAT SIDE AND AFTER ANOTHER TEST DRIVE THE ISSUE STILL RECURRED. THIS TIME THEY SAID MAYBE WE NEED TO CHANGE THE OTHER SIDE AS WELL. NOW THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF CHANGING THE OTHER WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY TO SEE IF THE ISSUE IS CORRECTED. THE COST FOR REPAIRS IS WELL OVER $1200. THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY BUT ONLY HAS 36,000 MILES ON IT AND DRIVES UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. I TRIED TO CONTACT GM'S CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO ARE OF NO HELP AND ALSO ASKED TO HAVE THIS ISSUE REPORTED FOR SOME TYPE OF REVIEW OR POTENTIAL RECALL. THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN AS IT AFFECTS THE BRAKING SYSTEM OF THEIR VEHICLE THAT DOES NOT SEEM DUE TO WEAR OR TEAR BUT AN ISSUE WITH MANUFACTURING. THE SENSOR ITSELF CANNOT EVEN BE SWAPPED OUT, ONLY THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BRAKES WERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO REPAIR WAS MADE. IN JUNE OF 2004, THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY ROTATED, MOUNTED, AND BALANCED FOUR NEW TIRES. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY STATED THAT THE REAR BRAKE PADS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND REPAIRED. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE REAR BRAKE PADS, ROTORS, AND REAR BRAKE SHOES. THIS SPECIFIC FAILURE HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED FAILURE WITH THE ABS, WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO EXTEND TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO ACCELERATE AND VIBRATE WHILE BRAKING. SHE RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE HUB BEARINGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND REPAIRED. RECENTLY, MY VEHICLE WAS PRESENTED TO FIRESTONE FOR STATE INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE INVOLVED IN THIS COMPLAINT IS A 2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE EXT. FOLLOWING THE INSPECTION, I WAS INFORMED THE VEHICLE'S PARKING BRAKE WOULD NOT HOLD THE VEHICLE. I WAS FURTHER INFORMED THAT THIS PROBLEM WAS PREVELANT IN THE CADILLAC ESCALADE PRODUCTION LINE AND SIMILAR SERIES SUCH AS THE CHEVEROLET AVALANCHE. THE ASSOCIATE ATTRIBUTED THE MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE TO THE MANUFACTURER'S NEGLECT TO ADOPT AN EFFECTIVE RETAINING CLIP WHICH RESULTS IN PREMATURE WEAR OF THE PARKING BRAKE SHOES. THIS DEFECT NOT ONLY COMPROMISES THE EFFICIENCY OF THE PARKING BRAKE, BUT PREMATURELY WEARS AND SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGES THE ROTORS OF THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO ENGAGE THE PARKING BRAKE. DUE TO THIS MANUFACTURER DEFECT, MY VEHICLE FAILED INSPECTION AND IS PENDING OVER $500.00 IN REPAIRS TO CORRECT THE SAFETY ISSUE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PRESENTED TO A BRAKE SHOP, THE TECHNICIANS WERE UNABLE TO DISASSEMBLE THE REAR DRIVERSIDE HUB TO ACCESS THE PARKING BRAKE SHOES. A BOLT WHICH NEEDED TO BE REMOVED WAS LOCK-TITE TO THE POINT OF PERMANENT AND STATIC FIXTURE (WITH THE ONLY METHOD OF REMOVAL BEING THE GRIND OR CUT THE BOLT OUT). BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES, I AM UNABLE TO PASS SAFETY INSPECTIONS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. THE PARKING BRAKE WAS NEVER ENGAGED WHILE DRIVING AND NEVER ENGAGED TO CREATE FRICTION WITH THE MOVING WHEELS. I PURCHASED A 2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE THAT HAS EXPERIENCED SLOW-SPEED BRAKING PROBLEMS FROM THE FIRST DATE OF PURCHASE. INITIALLY I THOUGHT THAT IT MAY BE THE BRAKE SHOES OR ROTORS, HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD THE BRAKE SHOES AND ROTORS REPLACED ON THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKING HAVE PERSISTED. THE ABS IS TRIGGERED WHEN DRIVEN AT LOW SPEEDS USUALLY UNDER 15 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE CONDITIONS DO NOT WARRANT IT. CONSEQUENTLY, I HAVE ALMOST WRECKED DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE BRAKES AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF MY WIFE AND THREE SMALL CHILDREN. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY A DEALERSHIP THAT POTENTIALLY THE PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM INVOLVES THE FRONT, WHEEL SPEED SENSOR MOUNTING SURFACE ON THE BEARING. SUPPOSEDLY RUST OR CORROSION COULD DETRIMENTALLY AFFECT THE PEAK-TO-PEAK OUTPUT VOLTAGE. THE WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLY SENSOR PROBLEM CAUSES FALSE WHEEL SPEED READINGS WHICH SENDS ERRONEOUS WHEEL SPEED READINGS TO THE VEHICLE''S COMPUTER. THE COMPUTER INTERPRETS THIS READING AS A NEED FOR THE COMPUTER TO CONTINUE ACTIVATING THE ABS TO PREVENT WHEEL LOCKUP. HOWEVER, IF ABS IS STILL TRIGGERING AT VERY LOW SPEEDS, IT PREVENTS THE WHEELS FROM COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP BECAUSE IT CONTINUALLY RELEASES AND APPLIES THE BRAKES AT VERY LOW SPEEDS (UNDER 15 MILES AN HOUR). THIS TYPE OF DEFECT COULD HAVE NEAR FATAL OUTCOMES ESPECIALLY IN A HILLY AND MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN LIKE THAT OF WEST VIRGINIA. DUE TO THIS PRE-EXISTING MATERIAL DEFECT IN THE VEHICLE WHICH AFFECTS AN EXTREMELY INTEGRAL PART OF THE OPERATION, RENDERING IT UNDRIVEABLE; I EXPECT GENERAL MOTORS/CADILLAC TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AT NO COST TO ME, THE CONSUMER. DURING A U-TURN, ON A 4-LANE STREET THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES STOPPED WORKING. I WASN'T ABLE TO STEER OR STOP. THE STEERING BECAME VERY HARD AS WELL AS THE BRAKE PEDAL. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, I STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND MY BREAK PEDAL BEGAN VIBRATING AND AGAIN I WAS NOT ABLE TO STEER THE CAR. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND ALLOWED HIM TO TALK ME INTO KEEPING THE CAR FOR THE WEEKEND (IT WAS A FRIDAY AND NO MECHANICS WORKED THE WEEKEND). AGAIN I LEFT THE DEALER AND CAREFULLY ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME. I WAS STOPPED BEHIND A CAR MAKING A LEFT TURN AND AS I ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE MYSELF FROM BEHIND THE CAR BY CHANGING LANES, I REALIZED THAT THE CAR WILL NOT TURN UNLESS MOVING. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER AND DEMANDED THAT THEY KEEP THE CAR UNTIL FIXED. ONE WEEK LATER (THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY) I WAS CALLED TO PICK UP MY CAR AGAIN. I WAS TOLD THAT THE NEW POWER STEERING PUMP WAS BAD AND THEY HAD REPLACED IT WITH ANOTHER NEW ONE. THIS TIME THE STEERING WHEEL WAS JERKY, AND THE BRAKES VIBRATED A LITTLE LESS THAN BEFORE. IN ADDITION, THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS BLINKING ON AND OFF AND THE CHARGE WAS AT APPX. 9 VOLTS. I LEFT THE CAR AGAIN. THE NEXT FRIDAY I PICKED UP MY CAR AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND A HALF ALL THE WHILE KNOWING THAT IT STILL WASN'T RIGHT. THIS TIME THE STEERING WAS LESS JERKY (BUT JERKY NEVERTHELESS) WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE, THE FRONT END WAS CLUMPING WHEN I WENT OVER BUMPS, THERE WAS WAY TOO MUCH PLAY IN THE STEERING WHEEL, AND THE CAR IS WHISTLING WHILE DRIVING AND IDLING. I TOOK THE CAR BACK ON THURSDAY, JULY 6, 2006, THE SERVICE WRITER DROVE IT AND INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING IT BACK ON MONDAY. AT THIS TIME, MY CAR IS NOT FIXED. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER 2004. THE DEALERSHIP REMOVED THE CORROSION FROM THE ABS SENSORS. THE PROBLEM DID NOT RETURN UNTIL DECEMBER 23, 2005. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF THE INCIDENTS WITH GOODYEAR WRANGLER HP TIRES (P265/70R17) THAT HAVE OCCURRED WITH MY 2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE EXT. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED ON DECEMBER 27, 2003, MYSELF ALONG WITH MY FATHER, MOTHER, SISTER AND COUSIN ELLISON WAS TRAVELING IN A 2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE EXT. AS WE WERE TRAVELING DOWN INTERSTATE 16 FROM MACON, GEORGIA TO SAVANNAH, GEORGIA, THERE WAS A LOUD POPPING SOUND AND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WAS THROWN INTO THE AIR. ONCE THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE HIT THE GROUND, I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN WE EXITED THE VEHICLE, WE NOTICED THAT THE THREAD HAD COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. THERE WAS ALSO SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DONE TO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. ON NOVEMBER 18, 2004, WHILE MY FATHER AND MOTHER WERE TRAVELING ON I-95 NEAR BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA, THEY FELT A THUD AND IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN THEY EXITED THE VEHICLE, THEY NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE THREAD HAD STARTED TO SEPARATE. ON NOVEMBER 30, 2004, LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER THE PREVIOUS TIRE INCIDENT, MY FATHER AND MOTHER WAS TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE 16 NEAR STATESBORO, GEORGIA. AT THIS POINT IN TIME, THE LEFT REAR TIRE BLEW OUT. AGAIN MY FATHER WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MANEUVER THE VEHICLE OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ON FEBRUARY 18, 2005, WHILE MY FATHER AND MOTHER WERE TRAVELING IN MISSISSIPPI ON INTERSTATE 10. WHILE THEY WERE DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE 10, THE RIGHT REAR TIRE BLEW COMPLETELY OUT. ON APRIL 3, 2005, MY FATHER WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AROUND TOWN IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA. HE NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED VIGOROUSLY SHAKING. DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CADILLAC ESCALADE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS SYSTEM ACTIVATED AT LOW SPEEDS. THIS RESULTED IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCES, AND THERE WAS NO WAY TO CONTROL WHEN THE VEHICLE WILL STOP. THE BRAKE PEDAL CAME UP AND WAS VERY HARD TO DEPRESS. THE VEHICLE SKIDDED WHEN TRYING TO USE THE BRAKES. THE SERVICE DEALER STATED THAT IT WAS THE SAME ISSUE AS IN THE RECALL FOR OTHER GENERAL MOTOR VEHICLES, BUT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE SERVICE DEALER STATED THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLEAN THE WHEEL SPEED SENSORS, AND IF THAT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM ,THEY WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHEEL SPEED SENSORS. I OWN AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND HAVE SEEN THE RECALL # 05V161000 REGARDING THE PARKING BRAKE DEFECT WITH GMC AND CHEVROLET PICKUPS. THE SAME PROBLEM ALSO EXISTS ON THE SUVS OF THE SAME BASIC DESIGN, 2000 AND NEWER TAHOES, SUBURBAN, ESCALADE, ETC. EVERY ONE OF THESE I SEE IN MY SHOP WITH OVER 35,000 MILES HAS A WORN PARKING BRAKE, USUALLY RUINING THE ROTORS WHEN THEY SCRAPE METAL TO METAL. I ALWAYS HESITATE TO PARK NEAR ONE OF THE VEHICLES IN A HILLY AREA, SINCE I KNOW THE PARKING BRAKE IS USUALLY NON-EXISTENT. *NM

I AM CURRENTLY HAVING A RE-OCCURING PROBLEM WITH THE STABILITY TRACK. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED FOUR TIMES NOW TO NO AVAIL. EACH TIME I TAKE IT IN THEY TELL ME IT IS A COMPUTER PROBLEM, AND THAT IT JUST NEED TO BE RESET. I HAVE YET TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT, BUT TODAY I ALMOST DID. WHILE GOING TO THE CURB ENTERING THE FREEWAY THE STEERING WENT CRAZY AND THE SERVICE STABILITY TRACK NOTICE APPEARED. AFTER I ENTERED THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE STILL WAS JERKING UNCONTROLABLE. I TURNED OF THE STABILITY TRAC BUTTON IN HOPES OF GAINING CONTROL. THE VEHICLE STILL NOTED THE PROBLEM EVEN AFTER BEING TURNED OFF. I AGAIN HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP IN WOODLAND WHO STATED IT HAD TO BE MY 22" WHEELS. BUT, I FIND THIS HIGHLY UNLIKELY SINCE THE DEALERSHIP ORIGINALLY OFFERED IT TO ME UPON BUYING AND I HAD THIS PROBLEM THREE TIMES BEFORE WITH THE ORIGINAL 17' TIRES. I DO MAINTAIN A RECORD OF ALL SERVICES AND I HAVE A COPY OF WHEN I PURCHASED THE WHEELS, WHICH WAS NOT UNTIL RECENTLY. THIS IS THE SECOND ESCALADE FROM GM THE FIRST ONE WAS DECLARED A LEMON AND THIS ONE APPEARS TO BE TURNING OUT TO BE ONE ALSO.

DT: THE CONSUMER WAS IN A PARKING LOT DRIVING 10 MPH, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR ACCELERATED. THE CONSUMER HIT A CONCRETE SLAB AND RIPPED IT OUT OF ASPHALT, AND WAS UP ON TOP OF IT. THE CONCRETE SLAB WAS 21/2 X4 FEET; THE CAR WAS STILL ACCELERATING VERY LOUDLY. SHE PULLED HER FOOT AWAY AND LOOKED AND THERE WAS NOTHING TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL. (ONE WHEEL) ON TWO RECENT OCCASIONS, BOTH WHILE ON A DOWNGRADE, ROLLING AT APPROXIMATELY 3 MPH, I EXPERIENCED FULL BLOWN 4 WHEEL ABS ACTIVATION, NEARLY COLLIDING WITH THE VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND HAD TO HAVE HUBS AND ROTORS REPLACED. NOT SURE IF THEY REPLACED OR JUST CLEANED THE SENSORS. ISSUE SHOULD BE A RECALL, COST ME $1000.00+.

BRAKES CONTINUE TO MAKE LOUD AND STRANGE NOISE, LIKE THE ABS IS ACTIVATED, WHEN BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS (UNDER 10 MPH). VEHICLE APPEARS NOT TO STOP VERY QUICKLY WHEN BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS.
