ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO, SOON AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALERSHIP, I CHECKED THE DIPSTICK. IT SHOWED LOW OIL AND I ADDED SOME. IT MADE ME THINK THAT THE DEALER HAD SHORTED THE OIL. NEXT OIL CHANGE, I HAD THEM SHOW ME THE OIL WAS FULL. IT SHOWED LOW FULL. I'VE BEEN CAREFULLY CHECKING THE OIL EVER SINCE AND HAVE CONTINUED ADDING OIL IN BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. 8 OR SO MONTHS AGO, I HAD THE OIL AND FILTER CHANGED. I MENTIONED THE PROBLEM TO THE MECHANIC AND HE SAID HE WAS AWARE HYUNDAI'S LOSE OIL. SINCE THEN, I HAVE CONTINUED TO ADD A HALF QUART AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. I PARK ON CONCRETE AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF LEAKING OIL. I STARTED RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE AND FIND IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH 2020 TUCSONS. I AM VERY CONCERNED WITH ENGINE DETERIORATION, SAFETY AND OIL LOSS.

My car has been burning through about 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. Hyundai will NOT replace the engine. If this continues My engine could malfunction while driving. This is a serious safety concern and there's plenty of information on it. They refuse to recall it.

Complete engine failure. Car was burning oil, wasn't aware. Since I am an on the road salesman I travel alot and get oil changes consistently. Then recently the engine oil light keeps coming on when rounding bends or stopping on a hill. I checked the dip stick and see oil is Half gone in between oil changes. The car stalled as I was approaching a dangerous intersection. Thankfully I was able to stop the car.

burning oil at a rate of 2 qts per 1000 miles driven. Known issue in these models of tucsons. Not covered by the class action lawsuit as this VIN was not identified. It is burning oil at a catastrophic rate. The problem has burned through multiple catalytic converters that were covered under the warranty but did not solve the underlying problem. Has been burning oil since owning the car a year ago.

Component: Engine / Electrical System / Fuel System Incident Date: February 9th, 2026 Vehicle Speed: 45-50 MPH Description: While traveling at highway speeds on a major roadway, the vehicle experienced a catastrophic and sudden engine stall without any prior warning or dashboard indicators. The engine shut off completely while in motion, resulting in an immediate and total loss of power steering and power-assisted braking. I was forced to perform a high-effort emergency maneuver in heavy traffic to reach the shoulder and avoid a collision. This vehicle is used to transport myself, my coworker and my family whose lives was placed in immediate danger by this failure. Since the start of the financing agreement, this vehicle has a documented history of recurring sensor issues and failed repair attempts at the dealership (Route 1 Hyundai). The dealership has previously attempted to address electrical/sensor malfunctions, but the root cause remains unresolved, leading to this life-threatening stall. I believe this is a significant safety defect in the vehicle’s electrical or fuel management system that poses an unreasonable risk of accidents and injury.

2020 HYUNDAI Tucson Engine blown @ 89,307 miles and 1,265 miles after oil change due to missing oil plug. Daughter drives about 5 miles per day for college and groceries. The day before Thanksgiving 2025, her 2020 HYUNDAI Tucson died about 48 miles down the Highway without warning, no prior warning lights or sounds before shutting down. I had the car towed to the local HYUNDAI dealer in the town where her college is, where they told us the engine was totaled due to a lack of oil and a missing oil plug. I discussed with the HYUNDAI service advisor about having an extended warranty; however, they would not work with me or the company I had the extended warranty with, mentioning they would not cover the engine failure due to the oil plug being missing. I asked the service advisor in a separate conversation whether an oil pan drain plug that was not properly torqued during an oil change could remain in place for some time—particularly during short, low-speed driving—and then gradually work loose over additional miles. The service advisor mentioned that in situations like my daughter’s, where only about 1,265 miles were driven after the oil change (mostly short trips), it would be within reason for an improperly installed drain plug to stay in place until a longer highway drive with higher RPMs, at which point it could back out completely and result in a sudden oil loss and engine shutdown. The service advisor also mentioned that this is something they had seen before and is not unheard of on these vehicles.

The car has been burning oil for about two years . Noticed when my oil was changed by my mechanic , he told me oil level was about a quart low . Since that time I have had to add oil every 1000 miles . Approximately 4 quarts between oil changes , which I have done every 5 to 6 thousand miles . I have read that many other people have had same problem. This is a 2020 Tucson, Unlimited Model . Which at the time of purchase was the top model Tucson on the lot . Hopefully this is enough information to help get the consumer some Help in this situation ! Thanks

On December 27, 2025, while driving, the engine suddenly lost power and the vehicle entered limp mode and became undriveable. A warning light appeared and diagnostic code P1326 was later confirmed, indicating engine bearing failure. The vehicle could not be driven safely and required towing to a Hyundai dealership the following day. The engine failure caused a loss of propulsion safety risk. The vehicle remains out of service pending a full engine replacement. The vehicle is available for inspection at a Hyundai dealership.

I have experienced 4 repeated issues within 4 months with my vehicle. Starting in September 2025 and the 4th and current issue today 1/12/26. Driving when all of a sudden all of my brake components lamps come on dash oard, forward collision alert, and check engine, my vehicle struggles to accelerate accurately. Blue Link diagnostic throws various codes such as ECM, Transmission Control System, even "multiple possible issues". Each time my vehicle has been at Hyundai dealership for repair. Each time they repair something different 1st- replace ABS module and hydraulic brake, 2nd - happened out of state at my mother funeral and replaced my ECM, 3rd couldn't figure it out and guessed it was my Forward collision camera and replaced it, 4th - is today and awaiting dealership diagnosis. This issue has left me stranded several times local and long distance, occured in middle of driving including on highway, and overall uncertain of the safety and reliability of the vehicle as each time it has been the same type of issue. I have been in communication with Hyundai Corporate since October and they stated that even tho I only have 24k miles on the vehicle that it is outside the state of IN lemon laws for a buyback. If I hadn't purchased an extended warranty I would be in even more debt or unable to put it in the shop even tho I don't feel like this should be my burden when I have kept this vehicle in great shape, low mileage, frequent oil changes, etc . however the safety of my vehicles goes unresolved. At this point I am uncertain that Hyundai is properly diagnosing my vehicle and not certain how these issues are impacting other components of my vehicle such as brakes, transmission, engine, sensors. I am the only owner of this vehicle bought brand new. I have checked repeatedly for any recalls that I have not addressed and at this time none are pending. I fear that this vehicle will continue to have more safety issues.

The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the oil level was topped off. The dealer requested that the contact return every 1,000 miles for inspection. The failure persisted, and the vehicle was returned to the dealer every 1,000 miles. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for an inspection, and the dealer discovered that the catalytic converter was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a second opinion, and the contact was informed that the engine had failed due to a defect in one of the engine cylinders. The dealer was informed of the findings by the independent mechanic, and an appointment was scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

My adult son was driving and under the hood started to smoke. He pulled over and opened the hood to take a look and then a fire started under the hood! The fire department was called and they put out the fire, cut the gasoline and duct taped it up so the fuel line would not further ignite the hot engine. My insurance is looking into what would have caused a random under the hood fire. Luckily no one was injured. However the engine section of the car is melted beyond belief. My insurance has not told me if the car is repairable or not.
ENGINENovember 13, 2025
My engine is burning excessive amounts of oil, which is a "known issue" of Hyundai Tucsons. After an oil change with full synthetic oil, I cannot drive my vehicle more than 4,000 miles without reaching dangerously low oil levels. Most importantly, there is no clear indicator of this low oil level—no light that comes on and STAYS on to tell me as the driver to check the oil and see if there is a problem. Instead, if I brake too hard or take a turn to sharply a red oil light will turn on for 1-2 seconds and then turn off again. It is easy to miss. The first few times this happened in May I thought perhaps there was a loose wire on the sensor. After it appeared 3 or 4 times I took it to a mechanic who told me the oil level was so low that they had to add 2 quarts of oil just to have it register on the dip stick. The excessive oil burning is a known issue that Hyundai fights tooth and nail to avoid correcting. But to not have a warning indicator that the oil is at a dangerously low level is reckless on Hyundai's part. The engine could have seized up, thrown a rod, or any number of consequences. I had my oil replaced by Hyundai in May as part 1 of their oil consumption test. My car passed their 1000-mile test and 4,000 miles later I was in dangerously low oil territory again. Thankfully, I knew what to look for this time. Cars should not consume oil at this rapid of a rate but even if they do drivers should be notified about low oil levels via car sensors to keep them and their passengers safe.

Car broke down first time about 2.5 months ago. It was towed to Fred Beans Hyundai of Doylestown PA and they did oil testing on it and I was told that the car was burning oil too fast. They told me under warranty they needed to do a carbon combustion cleaning. So that was down, and less than 24 hours of having the car back, the check engine light came back on, the car wouldn’t drive above 50 miles per hour, and was jumping forward (the same thing that happened the first time) I had the car towed back to the dealership and they told me there was still leftover carbon and it needed to cleaned out again. The car was fine for about 2 months, however just today it broke down again. Same problem, check engine light came on and started flashing, the car will not go above 50 MPH and it jumps forward. I have now been given back a car that is unsafe to drive and put my family and 2 times. Each time the car has broken down I have been on the pa turnpike and been put in an extremely dangerous situation.

Engine is consuming 3+ quarts per 1000 miles. There is no low oil warning light or notification, just a low oil pressure light which could be caused by many things that would not cause a vehicle fire like low oil would. Hyundai was contacted and we were told that all we need to do was get our oil changed with them, come back in 1000 miles to check the level, if it was consuming greater than 1 quart per thousand miles we would be scheduled for a combustion chamber cleaning (service tech said this would do nothing to solve the issue), drive 1000 more miles and check level again, and if it was greater than 1 quart per thousand we would be scheduled for a new engine. They were informed that we were the second owner and we were told that shouldn’t be an issue. After completing the oil change and going in after 1000 miles we were told that the engine consumed approximately 3 quarts of oil. That information was apparently submitted to Hyundai and they said we were not approved for the combustion cleaning because we were the second owner. The safety of the vehicle was not taken into account at all and Hyundai did not show any concern of vechile fires even though low oil is a contributing factor to many scenarios that can cause injury or death.

At times, this vehicle will refuse to go. You will get an alert in the dash that the emergency braking system has engaged. It may be a door is not completely shut, or sometimes it's just that I don't have my seat belt on. It seems to be inconsistent, because I often times put my seat belt on after I finish backing out, and am ready to go forward. If there is any kind of incident that requires a fast escape, this "feature" could cost somebody their life, or cause them to deal with a carjacking. The car needs to go when I tell it to go.

This is the second Hyundai Tucson that I have owned and the same thing has happened wih both of them. My daughter also bought her Hyundai Tucson the same day as I got mine in June, 2020, and the same thing is happening to her. It starts with the engine warning light coming on, and then finding that the engine oil is low in between oil changes. There is no visible sign of the oil leak (no drops on the driveway, no oil in the engine compartment, etc.) but now the oil is disappearing at an alarming rate. My daughter has had her car looked at, and it appears that she may have to get a new engine, which is what happened with my previous Tucson (2015). Luckily, Hyundai "good-willed" me the replacement of my previous engine, but now I am at, or close to the limit on my extended warranty (for which the dealership did not give me paperwork), and have an engine that is just disappearing engine oil. Hyundai has to know of the issue, but refuses to make corrections to the problem which sticks people with huge bills to correct a problem they know exists. I have seen MANY complaints about this exact thing, so it's not a secret.
SEAT BELTS,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROLAugust 9, 2024
When driving this car it is hard to go to higher speed. Acceleration is a huge problem. Coming on to the highway I have to wait until there's no one approaching due to the fact that it takes about 40 seconds to a minute for the car to accelerate once it comes to a stop. When switching lanes it takes 40 to 60 seconds to accelerate as well. That's not safe. God forbid someone was speeding directly behind me I would absolutely be hit. It takes to long to accelerate and get out of the way. I was nearly hit by a semi truck due to this problem. Thank goodness the truck moved to the other lane because the Tuscon couldn't! Also the car won't allow you to close off the outside air while if the front or rear air function. So if I want to place air on the windshield I have to breathe in the air from the person in front tailpipe. That's crazy. This is the first car I've had that did this. It's disgusting especially living in ny why should I have to breathe in that toxin. Also I can not find the third seat belt for the passengers in the back. The car is suppose to be a five passenger car however only four can safely be seated.

The vehicle is a 2020 Hyundai Tucson with AWD. Current mileage of the vehicle is 58,309. In the last 10K miles, there have had 4 separate instances of a sustained flashing check engine light that has put the car into limp mode. Since the first instance, a knock sensor, catalytic converter, and spark plug coil, among other things, have been replaced. However, the issues persist and have yet to be resolved. The engine continues to misfire, resulting in dangerous driving situations. Most recently (XXX) the car went into limp mode on an interstate highway where the vehicle was unable to accelerate and could not exceed 2000 RPMs. The code scanner read P1326 - Glow Relay Short Circuit. This was just a week after the vehicle was towed to McGovern Hyundai in Brockton, due to the car being in limp mode (XXX) and the vehicle was given a clean bill of health. I was told that there was no cause for concern and the code was cleared. I’m extremely concerned about this issue with the vehicle and don’t feel that it is safe to drive, especially when it loses power on the highway. The vehicle is insured, but has not been inspected by an insurer. Nor has the vehicle been inspected by police. The car has been inspected by the dealership, but that have not produced any findings. The car is certainly available for inspection upon request. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2020 Hyundai Tuscon May I have had numerous incidents where my stereo navigation screen goes black, and then instantly comes back. This happens frequently; whether or not my phone is plugged in. I have stopped plugging my phone into the car. May 1, 2024 As I was backing into my garage this afternoon I started the turn to get into my driveway. I turned the steering wheel tight and it seemed to lock up just like the car had turned itself off. My vehicles main screen went blank along with the stereo navigation. May 16 2024 As I backed into my driveway and straightened my steering wheel position to get into the garage the vehicle screen went black along with the navigation stereo screen I felt the steering wheel tug a little bit along with a knocking noise All lighting quickly came back and then the same exact thing happened again. I then finished backing in and turned the car off. May 18 My husband and I went to the market 1 mile away and as he was backing into the driveway at home the steering wheel locked up then the stereo navigation screen went black and we heard bumping sounds same as before. This happened numerous times in a row going in reverse and forward and we were able to get two videos. After we got the car parked in the garage we tried to open the back hatch to get the groceries out and we were unable to do so manually or with the key fob. At that time, we then noticed that the entire electrical system was down. I then sat in the front seat, tried to turn the car on and it was completely unresponsive. A few seconds later, we were able to open the back hatch along with turning the car on. At this point, we decided to have the car towed in as opposed to driving it in to have it looked at. We have videos of the issue as it happens. But cannot upload to your site

I was driving home last week when I came across a large crash on the highway. Traffic was backed up for a mile. I decided to turn around through one of those crossovers and head a different way home. I accelerated to catch up to the oncoming traffic when my car suddenly sounded more loud like it was struggling to accelerate. I got onto the off ramp and my car slowed from 70mph to 40mph and would not go any faster. It began lurching and I decided to try to get off the highway and get as close to home as I could as it was 9pm. My car slowed to a stop and the oil light and engine light and battery light came on. A few moments later the whole dashboard lit up and the car died. I popped the hood and to my horror there was literally no oil in my car. My oil light never came on and my oil change service notice never came on at any point. I took it to a dealership where they told me my engine has blown and needs replacing. This engine experienced the same issues as listed in the lawsuit earlier this year, only my 2.4L was not included as an affected model. This car only has 88,000 miles on it and has had at least 9-12 oil changes. My car was working normally until it shut down, no warning, no lights, and no other issues this entire time I’ve had it. I was broken down on a country road in the middle of the night with no phone service. Hyundai claims my car was not one of the engines affected by the recall or lawsuit, yet my car did exactly what others stated happened to theirs.

If I had entered an busy highway I would have most likely caused a Major Accident and been killed and/or killed others. I had it towed to the Dealership and they replaced the knock sensor and assured me that the car was perfectly safe now. While driving down the interstate to go back to my college, I noticed a cloud of white smoke coming out of my exhaust. Seconds later, I no longer could accelerate and white smoke was also coming out of the engine. There were no lights on my dash at this point or at any point before this day. I quickly tried to get off of the road when I noticed my car was no longer going. I managed to get to the side of the road where finally my engine and oil light came on. I waited 2.5 hours for a tow truck on the side of the interstate, where I was barely off of the road. It was taken to the dealership where I bought it (since the car only has 32k miles on it) for a "hole in the engine" which is what I was originally told by the service department. Two days later, I received a phone call that there actually was no hole in my motor, and that the drain oil plug disappeared from my engine while driving, causing all of the oil to spill out of my engine that day on the interstate. Despite getting an oil change only 1500 miles ago from this exact dealer, they stated that the plug would have fallen out immediately after their service if it was placed back incorrectly. Hyundai stated this is now an "owner's problem" and that I was to call my insurance company to get an estimate from them because the dealership would not cover it since it was no longer a warranty issue. I called my insurance company who then got pictures from the dealer of the engine and a video. They then called me stating this type of damage is not covered under my policy, and that they would not pay for it. So here I am, stuck with Hyundai refusing to pay for a damaged engine even though the oil drain plug fell out, which inherently caused the damage, and despite having a 10 year/100k mile warranty on the motor. I found out there is an open investigation through the NHTSA about this exact issue and was hoping to receive clarity on what I can do.

NHTSA should have a non-official recall warning for Hyundai vehicles that have this software based Safety Defect, which is some models don't have a Passive Engine Immobilizer, and the vehicles can be easily stolen by starting the engine with a USB cord. Thankfully Hyundai(recall) offered a free Anti Theft Software Update, and a steering wheel lock. I checked my VIN number with the Hyundai Dealership in Oregon, and they said my car already received the Anti Theft Software Update. The only reason I knew my 2020 Tucson had this issue, is because State Farm cancelled my insurance a month after I started paying for it. State Farm and Progressive currently deny new policies for vehicles without a Passive Engine Immobilizer. Also State Farm still denied my insurance after I got the software update. Affected Hyundai models from 2011 to 2021 that have standard “turn-key-to-start” ignition systems/without a Passive Engine Immobilizer, are the Accent, Elantra, Santa Fe, Sonata, Tucson, Genesis Coupe, Palisade, Kona, Venue.

The car engine completely shuts down without warning. This has happened over a dozen times since last summer. The only thing we can think of was the ABS module recall work, but the dealership says everything is fine with the car and they cannot replicate. This happens when the car is at a stop, or sometimes driving slowly or turning. The engine gets quiet, the lights flicker, and then gas no longer works to accelerate. To fix this, we have to shift the car back to P, then turn the car off, then turn it on again, and then put it back into D. Sometimes this happens in the middle of live traffic which is unsafe. We have an active case with Hyundai America open about this issue since the dealers cannot identify and fix the issue. This is a high safety issue for my family and other drivers. The car is available for inspection. The frequency of this occurs about once a week (it used to happen 1-2 times per month but recently has been increasing.)

It happened on two different occasions but only when driving at high speed using the Cruise Control. Here is what happened. Driving on the Cruise Control I “Set” it to 70 mph. Driving on the two lane highway with both lanes blocked by other vehicles, I pressed the “brake” pedal. The car slowed down and I continued driving at a lower speed. When traffic in front of me cleared, I pressed the “Resume” button on Cruise Control. With no obstacles in front of me, my car was supposed to accelerate to the previously set speed of 70 mph. Instead, it was slowing down. When pressing the gas pedal the car was not accelerating. It felt like the car “lost power.” It felt like the automatic transmission shifted to a Neutral or may be the lowest gear. Pushing the gas pedal did not do anything and on both occasions I managed to steer the car to a road shoulder. It was a scary situation with heavy fast moving traffic on a narrow mountain highway. I stopped the car, then tried to go again. It would go very slow on, what felt like, the lowest gear without acceleration. I then stopped the car again and turned off the engine. Turning the ignition off resets the electronics and I was able to get back on the road. The car continued to drive normally on Cruise Control until the same happened again the next day. As I said, it happened on two different occasions. From there on I avoided pushing the “Resume” button on Cruise Control and I am afraid of using it from now on to avoid potential accidents. I consider this to be a life threatening malfunction and I reported it to Hyundai’s Customer Care. They opened the Case Number and suggested going to the nearest dealer. I took the car to the nearest dealer. They kept it for several days, drove 40 miles and, as I expected, were not able to replicate the problem. In my opinion, this problem needs to be analyzed by the engineers not a dealership's technician. Is speed a factor? Is temperature a factor? What is the factor?

I have severe left side injuries-neck, shoulder, upper/lower arm, wrist, and left hand, upper back pain, lower back pain, pain down the back of my legs, right shoulder pain, concussion, numbness, tingling in fingers, back, and feet. Labored breathing, bruising, headache, some loss of mobility, in constant pain, panic attacks/anxiety, under care of pulmonologist, family dr., physical therapist, chiropractor (as of now), insurance company towed car to their facility to get estimate. They have the car in their possession and the only ones to do any inspection at this point. THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING LIGHTS, MESSAGES, NOISES, NO WARNINGS ON BLUELINK APP, NOTHING THAT WOULD GIVE ME ANY INDICATION THERE WERE ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION (GEAR STUCK IN DRIVE) OR AIRBAG MALFUNCTIONS.

Four Weeks ago , I called Henderson Hyundai,702-565-1500, concerning a fire hazard for my car that the Hyundai Company said would start on fire because of corroded brake lines. I was told before that this would be taken care of at my next oil change, today, 2-22-2022. The service rep said this didn't apply to my 2020 Tucson. I told him that my car met their recall instructions. The dealership refused to fix the potential fire hazard. I want to go on record that I attempted to resolve the issue and the dealer said no. I put my car in the garage and don't want my house to burn down.

I’ve owned this vehicle for a year and a half and have had to fix my windshield 3 times. 2 of those, including replacement. After only have the car for 2 months the windshield cracked. Then after I have had to replace it twice. I don’t know if it’s faulty design, but there have been lots of complaints of 2020 Hyundai windshields
LANE DEPARTUREJanuary 21, 2022
For at least the last 60 days, the blind spot warning camera system will disengage while driving. Took the vehicle to the local dealer, who had the car for 2 days and could not determine the cause. They did discover it will disengage after driving the car for 18 miles. They have called Hyundai for assistance. So far, no information received back from Hyundai on how to correct this issue.

The backup camera in the 2020 Tucson Ultimate is blurry, creating a serious safety issue. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer repeatedly with this complaint and although the service advisor agrees, Hyundai has refused to replace or repair the camera. Note that there are many of the same complaint that can be found through a simple internet search, but apparently Hyundai refuses to acknowledge and repair the issue. Both the driver's safety and the safety of others are at risk, since it's not possible to see clearly what is behind the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and the dealer requested a replacement backup camera, but Hyundai declined authorization for the replacement. Federal regulation that went into effect in May 2018 requires that all new vehicles must have a backup camera. Surely the backup camera must be usable, as opposed to just existing to satisfy the legal requirement? This camera is so blurry it is barely usable. We had this exact same make and model from the 2016 model year and the backup camera was crisp and clear, so this is definitely an issue with this particular model year.

Hyundai Tucson Sport 2020, this happens always, while driving in the highway, long distance the forward collision warning activates (no cars in front of me or any objects) and the SUV make a sudden stop and it sound a loud scary noise, then I have to park, turn it off and then start the SUV again because the rpm starts going up. This is a safety hazard, luckily no one was behind me or I could get hit in the middle of the highway. I took the SUV to the Hyundai dealership where I bought it in San Juan, Kennedy, but they said they didn’t find anything. I took it then to the Hyundai dealership in Caguas, P.R. to have it check and still waiting on a response. It’s been a year and still no one finds what’s the problem. I feel my life is at risk when driving in the highway.

I WAS INFORMED OF A RECALL FOR THE ABS SYSTEM FOR MY HYUNDAI TUCSON 2020. I WAS DIRECTED TO THEIR WEBSITE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE, WHICH I SCHEDULED AT HYUNDAI OF LONG ISLAND CITY IN NEW YORK. ONCE I ARRIVED AT MY SCHEDULED TIME FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE AND AFTER WAITING 30 MINUTES TO EVEN SPEAK WITH A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, I WAS TOLD THERE IS A BACKORDER OF THE REQUIRED PARTS TO FIX THIS ISSUE AND IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER 2-3 WEEKS. I WAS TOLD I NEED TO CALL THEM TO CHECK IN TO SEE IF PARTS ARE IN. I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT I WAS ALLOWED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR AN URGENT ISSUE, ONLY TO BE TOLD IT CAN'T BE FIXED. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL BACK SEVERAL TIMES IN THE FOLLOWING WEEKS TO KEEP ASKING IF THEIR PARTS ARE IN. I ALSO ASKED FOR A LOANER VEHICLE AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE ANY. I FIND THE HANDLING OF THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL TO BE NEGLIGENT AND IS PUTTING ME AT FURTHER RISK WHILE I WAIT FOR THE REQUIRED SAFETY REPAIRS. I HAVE ATTACHED A PHOTO OF THE RECALL NOTICE I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL. AS WELL AS SCREENSHOTS OF THE ONLINE SCHEDULING SERVICE.

WHEN SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT, WITH THE CAR IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE STARTS TO LURCH MULTIPLE TIMES. IT FEELS AS IF SOMEONE BEHIND ME IS TAPPING MY REAR BUMPER. I HAVE TAKEN IT EARNHARDT HYUNDAI IN NORTH SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA THREE TIMES. THEY CANNOT FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THE CAR IS NEW WITH ONLY 6400 MILES ON IT.

THE WINDSHIELD ON MY 2020 HYUNDAI TUSCON ALL OF SUDDEN HAS A CRACK LONGER THAN 2 DOLLAR BILLS AND IT KEEPS GROWING. STARTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, MAKING IT'S WAY TO THE DRIVERS SIDE. YOU DO NOT FEEL THE CRACK ON THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD, IT SEEMS TO BE IN THE MIDDLE,. MY CAR WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME, NO OBJECTS HAVE HIT THE WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING.

I AM UNABLE TO SAFELY DRIVE MY NEW 2020 HYUNDAI TUCSON PURCHASED JULY 12, 2020, DUE TO A DANGEROUS RECALL. THERE IS NO SOLUTION AT THIS TIME AND IF THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON, I AM ADVISED TO PULL OVER, DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. ALSO, DO NOT PARK THE CAR INDOORS. I WAS PLANNING ON TAKING SOME ROAD TRIPS; THAT IS WHY I PURCHASED THE CAR. HYUNDAI ADVISED ME NOT TO TAKE A ROAD TRIP DUE TO THE PROBLEM. I THOUGHT THEY MIGHT GIVE ME A LOANER TILL THE SITUATION WAS RESOLVED BUT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID "ONLY IF THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON". I ALSO NOTE THAT THEY HAVE DISCONTINUED THEIR ADS FOR THE TUCSON AND ARE STATING THAT THE KONA AND/OR SANTA FE MODELS ARE MORE RELIABLE AND SAFE. SO, HERE I AM WITHOUT A SAFE, RELIABLE CAR AND HYUNDAI WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. WHAT CAN BE DONE?
STEERINGAugust 10, 2020
WAS GETTING ON ENTRANCE RAMP TO INTERSTATE (180 CURVE RAMP) 35 NORTH BOUND FROM ROBINSON WHEN ORANGE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) WARNING LIGHT CAME ON.WHEN I WAS ABOUT 90 DEGREES INTO THE TURN. SHORTLY AFTER RED EPS CAME ON. POWER STEERING BECAME NON EXISTENT. I EXITED I-35 AT INDIAN HILLS AND TURNED THE POWER OFF ONCE I GOT TO SIDE OF ROAD. STEERING BECAME NORMAL AFTER RESTART AND ALL WARNING LIGHTS WERE OFF. VEHICLE HAS AROUND 400 MILES. I DON'T THINK MY WIFE WOULD HAD THE STRENGTH TO TURN THE WHEEL AND I CONSIDER THIS INCIDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR HER,

SUV IS IN SHOP PRESENTLY #4 FOR SAME REASON. *TR

THE BACKUP CAMERA IS BLURRY AND FUZZY DURING THE DAY AND EVEN WORSE AT NIGHT. ALMOST USELESS AT NIGHT TIME. THE CAMERA SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SAFETY FEATURE BUT IT IS NOT VERY GOOD WHEN YOU CAN'T MAKE OUT OBJECTS AND THERE ISN'T A WARNING NOISE WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO BACK UP INTO SOMETHING. I HAVE TAKEN TO SERVICE DEPT AT DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES NOW AND THEY HAVE INSTALLED A NEW CAMERA AND IT IS STILL THE SAME AS THE FIRST ONE. I THINK HYUNDAI NEEDS TO GET A MUCH BETTER QUALITY CAMERA SYSTEM FOR THE 2020 HYUNDAI TUCSON ULTIMATES. I WAS AT WALMART 3 NIGHTS AGO BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE AND DID NOT SEE THE LADY WALKING BEHIND MY CAR B/C THE CAMERA SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE AT NIGHT TIME.
