Component: LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion, 2015 Mustang, 2013-2015 Escape and C-Max, 2012-2015 Focus, 2014-2016 Transit Connect, 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ, and 2015 MKC vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under recalls 15V-246, 16V-643 or 17V-210, however the repair may not have been completed properly. A component within the door latches may break making the doors difficult to latch and/or leading the driver or a passenger to believe a door is securely closed when, in fact, it is not.
Consequence: A door that is not securely latched could open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the latch date codes to confirm if the repair was done correctly, and replace the side door latches if necessary, free of charge. Owners will also have the option to inspect their own vehicle's door latches and enter the date codes into a website to determine if the latches are correct. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 27, 2020. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20S30.
Component: VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2014-2017 Transit Connect vehicles equipped with a Panoramic Fixed-Glass Vista roof. An improper bond may exist between the panoramic roof and the vehicle body and may result in wind noise, water leak, and in some cases, separation from the vehicle.
Consequence: If the panoramic roof panel separates from the vehicle while it is being driven, it may increase the risk of an injury or crash.
I am submitting this complaint to report an unresolved safety recall and the inability to obtain a timely inspection or repair, which I believe places me and my family at increased risk of a crash. My vehicle is a 2015 Ford Transit Connect. The vehicle is subject to Ford Safety Recall 25S89 and NHTSA Recall 25V572, concerning a failure of the rearview camera system. The rearview camera on my vehicle frequently displays a message stating “Rear View Camera Unavailable, Contact Ford Dealership” and then goes to a black screen. This results in a complete loss of rear visibility while backing up, increasing the risk of a collision, especially involving pedestrians or other vehicles. I received the safety recall notice in September 2025. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to have the vehicle inspected and repaired. Despite repeated contact with my local dealership, has informed me that they cannot perform the inspection or recall repair because they do not have an SSCC repair procedure available and therefore cannot proceed. I have also contacted Ford Motor Company customer service by phone multiple times, but these calls have not resulted in a resolution or a clear path to getting the vehicle repaired. As a result, I am left operating a vehicle with a known safety defect and no access to the recall remedy. I am deeply concerned for my safety and the safety of my family. Operating this vehicle without a reliable rearview camera significantly increases the chance of a crash, and I believe the continued delay in providing a remedy defeats the purpose of a safety recall. I respectfully request that NHTSA document this complaint and take any appropriate action to ensure that Ford Motor Company provides a timely inspection and repair for this safety defect.
No remedy from Ford for this recall since September 8 2025. This is a work vehicle I can not use until recall fixed

The detent designed to hold the passenger side sliding door open has malfunctioned due to what the dealership describes as a manufacturing defect commonly found in the 2015 Ford Transit Connect XLT/LWB. 2015 Ford transit connect 150: while driving on the freeway 60-65 mph, the brakes seem to lock up without depressing the pedal, slowing to 40 mph and shaking uncontrollably. putting on the brake to exit the flow of traffic, braking caused the vehicle to shake even more finally by pumping the accelerator, the speed increased again. finally getting off of the freeway the brake pedal went to the floor. i had to pump the brake pedal until it finally reacted. less than a week later, getting on the freeway almost the exact thing happened. luckily i was a bit more prepared when i felt the shaking. today, driving the van back to our warehouse approx 15 miles on regular streets (not freeway driving) the brakes again went to the floor. master cylinder not leaking, brakes seem to be in good shape...but something is wrong we brought the vehicle to Sawgrass Ford in Sunrise Florida. they had it for over a month. they were unable to determine the problem and only made suggestions to completely change out all the brake components for $5-$6,000.00 but also said that they could not guarantee that this would fix the problem. the brakes were serviced approximately 6-7 months prior to these incidents I called Corporate Ford office. was told that the 2016 ford transit connect had Brake Hydrolic Control Unit recalls, but the 2015 doesn't have the recall listed. I also looking on manywebsites to verify any other2015/2016 problems with the brakes "locking up" or vehicle going into safe mode (another possibility) there were numerous complaints and concerns regarding 2016 & even 2017 situations very similar to what i went through. ford told me that model DV6Z2C405D BRAKE HYDROLIC CONTROL UNIT did not have an official recall. but that Ford stopped using that model and started using model EK4Z2C405A which was recalled and then replaced the recall with FK4Z2C405C. Seems like there may have been a problem with the 2015 model which caused the to change and with the 2016 model as well
