Owner's description
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? turning the steering wheel makes clicking sounds from under the dash like a card in a bike tire spokes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? a problem from a steering wheel/column making strange noises in a new/newer vehicle, how is anyone to know if it will lock up or not work properly while driving? this could cause life threatening loss if malfunctioning. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, taking to local ford dealer, they have repeated and confirmed the issue as an issue with the rack and pinion motor resulting in 1100 repair bill. truck has 31k miles, but just couple months over the 3 yr 3k mile factory warranty. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? randall ford dealer in fort smith, arkansas Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no, none
