Owner's description
I was driving at 75MPH in Adaptive Cruise Control. The closest car in front or beside me was at least 1/4 mile away. The weather was perfect, no rain, wind, etc. Just sunshine. Without Notice, the car automatically braked, the BRAKE light showed up in the dash. The braking period lasted about two seconds during which time inertia slammed me forward. Fortunately there were no cars immediately in back of me or I no doubt probably would have been rear-ended. I did not step on the brake pedal or the gas pedal during this period. My vehicle is scheduled to be at the Dealers Service Center in 6 days but with all the intermittent issues I am having with this vehicle, I am sure they will say they cannot replicate the problem. My assumption is that the forward collision system intermittently axctivated.
