While entering the interstate highway and accelerating to merge into traffic the transmission would not shift properly and check engine light came with code p0871. I could not fully control the speed to keep up with traffic due to the erratic shifting of the transmission and was nearly rear ended by another vehicle also merging into traffic. This could have caused a multi vehicle accident at highway speed of 65 MPH. The p0871 code is transmission fluid pressure sensor / switch c circuit range/performance. There have been previous recalls with this transmission for the same problem but my vin was not listed. Transmission would not shift properly until code is reset with scan tool.

Recurring water intrusion through firewall/wiper cowl causes electrical corrosion and loss of vehicle communication (CAN bus). Dealer repeatedly documented: • 05/19/2022: “Cowl drains clogged; water entering passenger side” (Invoice #XXX). • 08/15/2025: “Water intrusion through firewall due to wiper cowl drains being clogged with organic debris; water found in passenger kick-panel connector” (Invoice #XXX). Resulting failures include: • BCM shorted (02/16/2022 – replaced). • HVAC module failure (10/15/2022 – replaced). • Intermittent CAN bus, loss of gauges while driving (09/04/2025 – Invoice #XXX; dealer suspects internal corrosion from prior water leaks). • 10/16/2025: Dealer states “old water damage to BCM causing corrosion on circuit board and disrupting bus circuits”; BCM replaced again (Invoice #XXX). • 10/20/2025 (current): Dealer states “ORC (airbag module) dead on bus; ABS module loss-comm with ORC; replace airbag module” (Workorder #XXX). The truck has lost instrumentation and safety systems in rain, with airbag and ABS communication currently inoperative. This is a safety defect; seeking investigation and manufacturer remedy/reimbursement. Injuries/Crashes: None, near-miss due to loss of gauges. Dealer: Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, [XXX] . sometimes when I first start the truck and drive off, I find out that I have no throttle response at all. No smoke or abnormal noises, just a dead pedal. Then after I stop the truck and take off again it works perfectly normal. I've heard of others having this problem but haven't heard of a fix. I also can't duplicate the problem; it has only happened a couple times. I did check for any codes which I did not have any.

Firstly, I have contacted Ram about the issue and they said I can't do anything about it. It's a safety feature and it absolutely is the total OPPOSITE of a safety feature! When on icy roads, with traction control off, and in four-wheel drive, if the truck starts sliding, it cuts the power to the wheels when I need power to pull out of the slide. I've been driving in icy / snowy conditions since I was 14 years old and I'm now [XXX] . Since it cut power to the wheels, the truck continued to slide off into the ditch causing major front end damage. If there had been a person walking their dog there, they would have been killed. This happened at about 15 mph and was totally preventable if I had had control of the vehicle instead of a computer! I don't even understand what the traction control button being turned off actually does because apparently it doesn't do anything. Also, I about got thrown through the windshield when the automatic brakes came on thinking I was going to rear-end some one who was not going to be there by the time I got there! Again, not a safety feature! There definitely needs to be a way to turn these systems off completely. If I remove the fuse for the traction control system it unfortunately affects other systems as well. So that is not an acceptable fix. In my opinion, people are putting far too much trust in computer systems. I do not believe there should be a computer in control of a vehicle at any time. You will never get me in a" "self-driving car!" It's complete lunacy! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I know RAM has reacalls for this huge problem, but they denied to fix my car, because there is no this recall under my VIN. I also saw that some people were able to fix it under the recall but I don't have any idea who I should contact for help. I placed my truck in park and got out to close the door to my hangar. I turned around and my truck was rolling forward. It rolled into a small two seat plane and pushed it into another plane causing significant damage. When I saw what was happening I ran to the truck but got to it a little too late. I went to put the truck into park, but it was already in park. This confused me a lot because this is not suppose to happen. This morning after I started my truck I tested the gear shifter and to my surprise I am able to shift the truck out of park and all the way into drive for about 1 second or more after removing my foot from the brake. You should not be able to shift a vehicle out of park when your foot is not on the brake. After this incident I have gone online and have ready about large recalls for similar issues with RAM trucks and vans. I even seen some issues posted about my same year truck. Ram had a recall that ended with year model 2018 vehicles for this, but I dont think the issue was resolved completely, or there is a different issue causing this that needs to be investigated. I took a couple videos to prove that my truck shifts out of park without the brake being depressed.

I had a parasitic draw on my battery that became progressively worse to the point that a jump no longer worked to start the vehicle. I bought a brand new battery and it was completely dead within 24 hours even though I had only driven the vehicle about 5 miles and had the vehicle off for over 23 of these hours. I replaced the battery again and left the vehicle running while loading for a trip and 30 minutes later the battery started to release smoke from overheating. Wires and plastics around the battery were starting to melt so I completely disconnected the battery. This 2nd new battery was also dead within 24 hours of purchase. I took the vehicle to a Ram Dealership and after a lot of testing over multiple days they identified the problem as a parasitic draw from the ABS module. Please note the parasitic draw occurred whether or not the vehicle was turned on. After the dealership changed the ABS module and both batteries the vehicle has been operating ok although I still receive low battery power notices which restricts certain vehicle functions every few days. I have to turn the engine off and on to reset the error.

I called our local dealer and they said they have never heard of that and are unable to help. Front differential locked up without notice on highway at highway speed and almost lost control of my vehicle. Due to the front different locking up, the front driveshaft broke but did not come completely off right away and almost came through the floor of my vehicle. The floor where the drivers feet rest right underneath the brake pedal and gas pedal bent up a few inches and is almost touching the pedal. Pieces of the driveshaft flew out all over the highway and could have injured or killed someone else if it wasn’t early AM when roads were empty. Dash cam footage shows the moment it happened, it felt and looks like I hit a land mine. Front differential needs complete replacement, there is a hole in my frame and much more was damaged due to this. Towed into dealer and manufacturer denied warranty claim. Arbitration determined it was a warrantable item and a lemon but the manufacturer still refuses to do anything about it except repurchase the vehicle at a discounted price. Very scary.

Took it into the dealership to check codes and they said none appeared or were somehow reset.

I saw online that this has happened to other people. I’m not sure the name of the tonneau cover but it is OEM from Ram.

I slowed to about 5 miles per hour and the truck began to bounce, left to right. I took the truck to a ram dealer and was informed the the driver side front tire needed immediate replacement. My truck has 12,500. miles on the odometer at the time of the incident. After dealer I took the truck to a tire shop (listened to how Nexen tires are poorly constructed). I also researched the exact tire on my truck further and learned that treat separation happens without notice. I also spoke with a friend who owns a similar ram and learned he had already replace his tires for the same issue. Low mileage in his example as well. I save both front tires for inspection if anyone is interested. These tires are clearly unsafe!

The component that failed in my 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 is the fuel system. The warning light that came across my screen indicated that it was the "exhaust". The vehicle abruptly went from 75 miles an hour to 25 mph to eventually stalling. At the time there was no engine light that illuminated my screen; It simply stated service exhaust. My safety and others around me were put at risk due to the sudden breakdown while traveling on a highway through the rocky mountains. I was fortunate enough to act quickly to avoid any possible danger to myself and others around me by quickly maneuvering my vehicle to the shoulder of the highway. Yes, a Dodge mechanic found fault in the fuel system, I have paperwork that indicates the malfunction with the vehicle's fuel system. The mechanic found metal shavings in my fuel filters replaced them and told me I was good to proceed on my route. He asserted that since the metal shavings didn't go past my fuel filters I have nothing to worry about. He also stated there's no remedy at this moment to fix the problem. The manufacturer hasn't taken action to fix their own recall. I am at a loss, my vehicle has sat at the dealership since April 12th, 2022.

Tire is Nexen Roadian AT Pro LT235/80R17 Load Range E. Original Factory installed tires on 2019 Ram 3500 with dual rear wheels. Purchased the truck new in June 2020. All 6 tires on the truck are identical and had approximately 14,000 miles on them when the driver's side front tire failed. The tires were recently rotated approximately 3-4 weeks prior to failure. The tire that failed was previously located on the Passenger Side Front prior to rotation. I began noticing vibration in the steering wheel at speeds approximately 40-45 mph and higher. I monitored this vibration for a few days in various driving conditions in an attempt to diagnose the problem and noticed that the vibration increased with vehicle speed. Soon, the problem became worse and the entire vehicle began vibrating. The last day of the evaluation period I was towing a Tandem Axle 16ft open Car Trailer with an SUV loaded on the trailer at speeds as high as 75 mph on the interstate. The next day I took the truck to the local dealer who informed me that the steel belt had separated on the inside of the tire and would require replacement. After conducting research on tire separation, I discovered the serious safety concern where the tire could have blown out which would have surely caused a serious accident. I also discovered that this separation failure is very common with this same combination of Nexen Tires on Heavy Duty Ram Pickup Trucks. I had the spare tire mounted until an identical replacement tire was delivered to the dealer for install. I paid $282.42 out of pocket for the tire replacement and after arguing with the dealer, they filed a warranty claim with Nexen. Weeks later I was informed that they have offered to reimburse approximately $113, but to date I have not received any funds and I still have 6 Nexen of these Nexen tires on my truck plus the spare.

In August 2021, my truck started pulling to the right and bouncing. I took to dealership where got vehicle. On September 1,2021 they rotated front tires to rear outer spots. The truck stopped pulling but still bounced. A week later went to Dr. appointment and when got back the tire that was on right front and moved to right rear outer spot had a knot in side wall as well as wire sticking out. There was only 17,479 miles on the truck at the time of rotation. I had that tire taken off and spare put on. Truck still bounced like bad tire still on rear of it. Then on October 20,2021 the other tire that was moved from left front to left rear outer tire split in the tread and blowing out. I contacted the dealership about the issues with the tires but they said it's the customer's responsibility to file warranty claims. In trying to find a dealer of Nexem tires, which I've not been able to in this area, I found a lot of complaints on these tires. Now it's going to cost me almost 2000.00 dollars to replace all 7 tires.

NEXEN LT235/80R17 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually We have read many horror stories about these stock tires from RAM. The RAM dually and other sites are full of photos and stories of the tires failing. These truck are used for towing large RV and other trailers so the risk due to failing tires is huge. We had hoped to get a few miles out of them before replacing them for peace of mind. Didn't happen though we had the front and inside dual on the passenger side fail at 14,866 miles. The front began to wobble and shake the front end of the truck. I noticed it on 10/12/2021 and on the 13th the truck was shaking so badly I drove the 15 or so miles to Discount tire at 30mph. Discount tire inspected the tire and immediately noticed the tire belts were separating and the tire was about to blow apart. They then found the inside passenger side dual was separating as well. We pulled and replaced all 6 tires. No way we could trust our safety to the RAM stock NEXEN tires. Please look into this further. The number of reports does not reflect the numbers of failures on the road. Many of the truck buyers just immediately replace the NEXEN tires on delivery of their RAM trucks! $200 for a new front end alignment and $1,600 for tires on a new truck but we are safe.

I PURCHASED MY 2019 RAM 3500 BACK IN NOV 2019 AND I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT MY FAMILY SAFETY SINCE MY TRUCK HAS CP4 PUMP THAT KNOWN TO FAIL THAT LEADS TO 10-20K IN REPAIR EVENTUALLY WILL FAIL IN THE MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY WITH OUR 40FT CAMPER, THOSE SCENARIOS WILL I THINK LEADS TO MY FAMILY TO ACCIDENT THAT ALL THE SUDDEN THE TRUCK LOSS THE POWER AND NOT ONLY WILL IMPACT MY FAMILY ALSO SOMEONE ELSE IN THE HIGHWAY. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER AND RECALL MY TRUCK TO HAVE THE CP4 PUMP REPLACE WITH RELIABLE ONE SO THAT WAY WHEN WE DO TRAVEL MY FAMILY AND EVERYONE WILL BE SAVE , THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

FOR THANKSGIVING I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A TRIP TO CALIFORNIA ABOUT 800 MILES AWAY FROM HOME, ON A MERGING LANE I STEPPED ON THE GAS TO CLEAR LANE FOR A EMERGING SEMI TRAILER I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 65 MPH AS I DID THAT I GOT A WARNING MESSAGE ON MY DASHBOARD TO SERVICE EXHAUST SYSTEM THEN LOST ALL POWER FROM MY VEHICLE FROM 65 TO 35 ON INTERSTATE 5 A DRASTICALLY SLOWDOWN CAUSING THE CARS BEHIND ME TO CRASH. I PULL TO THE SHOULDER AND MY TRUCK JUST DIED WOULD NOT START HAD IT TOWED TO CLOSEST DEALER NEXT MORNING. HAD TO SLEEP WITH MY NEW BORN IN THE COLD TRUCK. ONCE AT DEALER I WAS TOLD THE CP4 OR HIGH FLOW PRESSURE PUMP HAD FAIL AND THE COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM NEEDED REPLACED. THE ESTIMATE WAS FOR $20,000 BUT MY INSURANCE COVER $13,000 OF THE BILL THE REST I HAD TO BORROW FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY. SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON ALL NEW RAMS. IF IT'S SO COMMON WHY NOT FIX THE ISSUE MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS OUT IN DANGER THAT NIGHT AND ALSO WAS EXPENSIVE. THE ISSUE IS FIX FOR NOW BUT IS A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT HAPPENS AGAIN
FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEMJanuary 6, 2021
THE 2019 TO 2020 MODEL YEAR RAM 2500 HEAVY DUTY EQUIPPED WITH A 6.7L CUMMINS DIESEL ENGINE HAS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE A STALL AND INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. THE BOSCH CP4.2 FUEL INJECTION PUMP HAS A VERY HIGH RATE OF SUDDEN FAILURE LEADING TO IMMEDIATE STOPPAGE ON THE ENGINE AND ENGINE BRAKING SYSTEM. THE PUMP DESTROYS ITSELF AND TAKES OUT THE REST OF THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM LEADING TO REPAIRS IN THE $20,000 USD RANGE. FCA & RAM HAVE ATTEMPTED TO REVISE THE PUMP IN LATE (JULY) 2020 TO SOLVE THE ISSUE BUT THE FAILURES KEEP OCCURRING. FOR THE 2021 MODEL YEAR, FCA & RAM HAVE CHANGED THE PUMP ENTIRELY AND REVERTED BACK TO USING AN OLDER, SAFER, MORE RELIABLE DESIGN. NO PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS OF NEITHER THE PUMP REVISION IN 2020, NOR THE PUMP CHANGE IN 2021 HAVE BEEN MADE. THE ISSUE IS SO PREVALENT THAT THE REPLACEMENT PUMPS AND REPAIRS GENERALLY HAVE A 30-90 DAY WAIT PERIOD WHERE THE CUSTOMER IS WITHOUT THE PRIMARY VEHICLE. THIS PROBLEM IS A SUBSTANTIATED SAFETY RISK. ACCORDING TO A TEXAS JUDGE IN A BOSCH CP4.2 LAWSUIT, WHEN ANOTHER AUTOMAKER, GM TRIED TO DISMISS THE CASE SAYING THE PUMP FAILURE IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, THE COURT RESPONDED: "THE WORST CASE SCENARIO OF A TRUCK SPONTANEOUSLY STALLING AT HIGH SPEEDS IS NOT A MERE INCONVENIENCE. NOR IS IT A MERE INCONVENIENCE TO SPEND BETWEEN $8,000 TO $20,000 ON REPAIRS TO MAKE THE TRUCKS FIT FOR THEIR ORDINARY PURPOSE. THE COURT REJECTS GM'S SUGGESTION THAT THE RISK OF SPONTANEOUS ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING IS NOT, AS A MATTER OF LAW, UNREASONABLY DANGEROUS, DEPRIVING THE VEHICLES OF FITNESS FOR THEIR PURPOSE OF TRANSPORTATION.". TOYOTA AGREES: "IF A VEHICLE STALL OCCURS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS, THIS COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH". FCA & RAM HAVE REMEDIED THE SITUATION FOR THE 2021 MODEL YEAR HOWEVER, THE 2019 AND 2020 OWNERS ARE STILL AT RISK. THE NHTSA NEEDS TO FORCE FCA TO RECALL THESE TRUCKS.

MY TRUCK IS EQUIPPED WITH A DEFECTIVE CP4 INJECTION PUMP. IT'S BEEN CHANGED TWICE SINCE MY TRUCK WAS BUILT, ONCE IN 2020 AND AGAIN IN 2021 TO A DIFFERENT MODEL. RAM HAS HAD MANY COSTLY AND DANGEROUS FAILURES WITH THESE PUMPS. I HAVE NOT YET HAD A FAILURE. HOWEVER IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. WHEN A PUMP FAILS IT HAPPENS SUDDENLY AND NOT ONLY DOES IT WIPE OUT THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM AND SOMETIMES THE ENGINE, IT CAUSES YOUR ENGINE TO STALL. THIS CAUSES LACK OF POWER STEERING AND NO BRAKES. MY 3500 IS BUILT TO TOW HEAVY TRAILERS AND IN A SITUATION WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC OF A STEEP GRADE SUDDEN LOSE OF BRAKES COULD BE DISASTROUS, ESPECIALLY TOWING A CAMPER WITH MY FAMILY ABOARD. RAM KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM AND MADE A QUICK REVISION OF THE PUMP IN 2020 AND DITCHED IT ALTOGETHER IN 2021 FOR A DIFFERENT PUMP. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE 2019 FIRST MODEL TRUCKS WITH THE KNOWN DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS CP4 INJECTION PUMP.

I HAVE A 2019 RAM 3500 WITH THE 6.7L CUMMINS ENGINE AND AISIN TRANSMISSION. THE TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 9255 MILES ON IT. SOON AFTER PURCHASE, I NOTICED SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. ISSUE #1 WAS A HESITATION OR LERCHING AT CERTAIN MPH (35-40). I TOOK IT INTO A LOCAL DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THEY DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS A TSB(TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN) THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDED UPDATED. THAT SERVICE WAS PERFORMED BUT DID NOT RECTIFY THE HESITATION AND LERCHING. ROUND 2 AT A DIFFERENT DEALER WITH THE SAME ISSUES AND THE DIFFERENT DEALER PERFORMED A "DEALER QUICK LEARN" BASICALLY WIPING THE COMPUTER CLEAN AND RELEARNING MY DRIVING STYLE. TO THIS DATE, TRANSMISSION STILL ACTS THE SAME. RECENTLY ON 4 OCCASIONS, I'VE NOTICE A SEVERE LAG WHEN ENTERING THE HIGH FROM A STOPPED POSITION. IF I'M ENTERING THE HIGHWAY EITHER FROM A STOP SIGN, ESPECIALLY ON AN INCLINE, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION CATCHES AND THERE IS NO ACCELERATION UNTIL THE TURBO SPOOLS UP ENOUGH. SAME GOES FOR PASSING OR MAKING AN EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID. EXTREME LAG IN THE THROTTLE FOR AT LEAST 2-3 SECONDS BEFORE THE TRUCK RESPONDS. I'M SURE THAT THIS IN NOT YOUR FIRST COMPLAINT WITH THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE AND IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO SAY THE LEAST. I AM REQUESTING NHTSA TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AND SIMILAR COMPLAINTS

AS THIS SITUATION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THIS TRUCK IS USED TO HAUL A 3 CAR TRAILER. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TO (KUNES COUNTRY DODGE DEALERSHIP IN STERLING IL) AND THEY HAVE YET TO FIX THE PROBLEM ONLY SAYING THAT THERE IS A RECALL BUT ONCE THE TRUCK IS DRIVEN AGAIN THE SAME PROBLEM PERSIST. I WILL BE TAKING THE TRUCK ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIX THE PROBLEM.

SAME DAY CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE FOR TOWING AND RAM CUSTOMER SERVICE. RESULTS: -RAM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE DIDN'T COVER THE COST TO DEALER: REASON: TOO CLOSE TO THE DEALER. -RAM CUSTOMER SERVICE TOOK ALL THE INFORMATION, GAVE ME A CASE ID AND SAID SOMEBODY WILL CALL YOU IN 1-2 DAYS. AS OF TODAY I KEEP CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE IN 2 DAYS, THEY KEEP ISSUING NEW CASE ID'S BECAUSE OLD ONCE ARE INCORRECT, AND KEEP TELLING ME WILL CALL YOU IN 1-2 DAYS. NOBODY FROM RAM CALLED SO FAR. DEALER SAID: FUEL POMP FAILED AND THEY'LL GET THE PARTS IN NOVEMBER, (AUGUST 21 NOW) AND I CAN'T TELL THEM ANYTHING CAUSE THEY WILL FIX ME EVEN TOMORROW IF WOULD HAVE PARTS FROM RAM QUESTION: WHY A BRAND NEW RAM HAS TO SIT 3 MONTH IN DEALERS SHOP, WHO IS GOING TO COVER THE PAYMENTS AND WHY I KEEP GETTING PROMISES THAT SOMEBODY WILL CALL?

I HAVE A 2019 RAM 3500 TRUCK WITH THE HIGH OUTPUT 400HP ENGINE AND THE 'HEAVY DUTY' AISIN TRANSMISSION. I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. WHILE DRIVING IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN AT SLOW SPEED (5 TO 10 MPH) THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, ENGINE WILL REV UP TO 2000 TO 2500 RPM FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN SLAM INTO GEAR, CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD. THIS HAPPENS ON A CONTINUAL BASIS. A FEW TIMES, I HAVE STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION ON A HILL, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TAKE OFF AND TURN INTO TRAFFIC, THE TRUCK WILL GET PARTIALLY INTO THE ROAD WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, SLOWS DOWN WHILE THE ENGINE REVS TO 2000 TO 2500 RPM (WHILE TRAFFIC KEEPS COMING AT YOU) AND FINALLY SLAMS INTO GEAR AND STARTS MOVING AGAIN. THE NATURE OF THE ISSUE IS CREATING A LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. WHEN YOU ARE ON A HILL AND STOP, UPON REMOVING YOUR FOOT FROM THE BRAKE TO RESUME TRAVEL UP THE HILL, THE TRUCK WILL ROLL BACKWARDS, AFTER ROLLING A SHORT DISTANCE THE TRANSMISSION WILL SLAM INTO GEAR CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. AS THE ENGINE DIES, THERE IS A COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING AND STEERING, LEADING TO MORE LIFE THREATENING SITUATIONS; AS YOU ARE ROLLING BACKWARDS WITH LITTLE TO NO BRAKES OR STEERING. MY AREA HAS A LOT OF STEEP GRADES THAT WE HAVE TO DRIVE ON A REGULAR BASIS. I HAVE TAKEN THE LEMON TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR MANY TIMES. MY INITIAL COMPLAINT AND DEALER VISIT WAS AT APPROXIMATELY 3,500 MILES. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE FIRMWARE UPDATES , WITH NO CHANGE IN THE BEHAVIOR. ANOTHER ATTEMPT WAS CHANGING THE TRANSMISSION INTERNALS, NO CHANGE IN THE BEHAVIOR. ANOTHER TRIP INVOLVED ADDING A RECORDER TO LOG THE BEHAVIOR TO SEND TO MANUFACTURER.. THE LAST TIME, I WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO BE DONE. A CASE HAS BEEN OPENED WITH RAM, WHICH HAS RESPONDED IT IS OPERATING WITHIN THE DESIGN LIMITS AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE.

TWO MAIN ISSUES THAT ARE CAUSING A LOT OF CONCERN. 1) THE HOOD SHAKES TO THE POINT THAT IT WILL WEAKEN OVER TIME AND LOOKS LIKE AT TIMES THE HOOD WILL COME OFF. IT'S SEVERELY CONCERNING. THE FIX WAS TO ADJUST THE HOOD STOPS. THIS ONLY LIFTED THE HOOD MORE BREAKING THE SEAL AROUND THE HOOD WITH MAJOR AIR GAPS THIS HAPPENS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND IN HEAVY WINDS. 2) THE FRONT END MAKES A LOUD AUDIBLE CLUNK. WE HAVE REPLACED CAB MOUNTS, CHECKED THE SUSPENSION COMPONENTS AND THE ISSUE IS STILL THERE. SOMETHING IS CERTAINLY MAKING CONTACT AND OVERTIME WILL WEAR OUT. THIS HAPPENS ON OFF CAMBER TURNS OR OFF CAMBER APPROACH AND DEPARTURES (SLOW SPEEDS. THINK OF GOING INTO A PARKING LOT OR PULLING OUT OF A DRIVEWAY).

AFTER HAVING THIS TRUCK IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT 7 TIMES FOR AN ISSUE WITH THE AUTO LEVEL REAR AIR SUSPENSION AND STILL NOT HAVING THE ISSUE SOLVED I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT AFTER THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED THAT SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED.
