I own a 2011 Hyundai Tucson (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle had an engine replacement performed by Hyundai service. Immediately after picking up the car, I noticed a loud abnormal noise coming from underneath the vehicle. I reported the issue right away, but was told nothing was heard and it was dismissed. The noise has continued and worsened over time. I am concerned there may be damage or improper installation affecting the exhaust system or flex pipe, which could be a safety issue. While driving my speedometer became erratic, just one time. My cruise control is no longer working, my trip odometer is not working and possibly the odometer is not working properly. I googled for speedometer problems with 2011 Hyundai speedometers and found an article that may be false on Reuters "Hyundai Motor to recall nearly 84,000 US vehicles over instrument panel display failure, NHTSA says" I called Hyundai last week and the lady I spoke with said there was a service bulletin and said it would be repaired at no cost! She even set me up with an appointment at the local dealer. About 2 days later I received an email that said there was no tsb and that it was not covered under warranty. I cancelled the appointment and stopped at the Hyundai dealership. The man I spoke with seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and said it would be almost $200 to diagnose and that would be applied to the repair which would be $7-800. He also said there are 2 different switches and it coud be either switch. I know there's a lot of garbage on the internet but when I saw the article that said that "NHTSA says" and then was told by someone at Hyundai that there is a service bulletin, I believed it. I'm [XXX] old and my wife and I have had this vehicle since new. It's a good vehicle and most likely our last. However I am totally bewildered by this situation. I purchased a brand new fuel pump on 2-28-24 after car died on freeway. Mission Hills Hyundai diagnosed as pump not turning on, so recommended replacing fuel pump assembly. On [XXX] car wouldn’t start, so took vehicle in and the next day it was determined as faulty starter. Car was picked up 7-3-25 after buying a new starter, but car would not start again the next day. The car was actually misdiagnosed and the ruling was tank fuel pump had an intermittent short circuit. I’ve driven on the fuel pump I purchased on 2-28-24 for about a year in a half. It only lasted 40,000 miles. Fuel pumps last 100,000 to 200,000 miles. I’ve driven other vehicles going over 100,000 miles on the same fuel pump. How did this fuel pump go out so quick? Was it installed right? Was it bad wiring? Was it a defective part? Thankfully the fuel pump went out when I wasn’t driving. This is a major safety issue and Lithia, who is the parent company of Mission Hills Hyundai, should be looked into. Also the misdiagnosis from the technician should be in question to. Integrity is also an issue here, so how can I feel safe if I want to to continue getting my car serviced here. Yes they gave me a new fuel pump with no charge, but still had to pay for a starter I didn’t need. Basically I spent $3000 for a part that went out on my vehicle in over a year. Just like how Ford has a recent recall of fuel pumps, Hyundai should be checked into this issue also. I will attach invoices including a service for my fuel system cleaning. I thought all this work I got done would prevent a major failure on a vital vehicle component. The contact's daughter owns a 2011 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that upon his daughter attempting to enter the vehicle through the front driver’s side door, the door failed to open. The contact stated that his daughter opened the front passenger’s side door and there was black smoke coming from inside the vehicle. The contact’s daughter discovered that the front driver’s side seat, driver’s side door panel, and headliner was burned. The contact stated that the Fire Department was not called to the scene. There was no one injured. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V651000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The dealer was notified of the failure and a tow truck was sent to the residence. While the vehicle was in the dealer's possession, the failure was acknowledged, but the dealer stated that the damages would not be covered for free. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle as not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.

Recall # 251 has been going on at great length and I have an appointment for 11:30am April 1,2025 for what they deem as a solution to # 251 Recall that does not fix the problem and goes against everything that the NHTSA and FEDERAL GOVERMENT LAWS are in place for, you are allowing them to continue to not do what the laws clearly state and in a certain time period have repaired, replaced or make restiitution for the recalled issue it also is stated that they do not need to for automobiles older than 15years.Their Bandaid only creates other problems and dangers and by 02/11/2026 my car will be 16years old but it wasn’t when all this first started,I own a time bomb and can not afford to buy another vehicle,Im retired and live on a fixed income. Im not sure if letting them change a fuse to a lower wattage so it would fail and make the ABS System Disabled there by stopping leaking brake fluid from igniting.Does Not Meet Any Requirements and Creates More Issues.My Car has AWD and is low mileage for the age.I don’t agree with letting them do this but Im afraid of what NHTSA or They can do if I don’t,Why aren’t you stopping them perpetrate a fraud.This is not by your own law's fines have not helped the millions involved in this #251 Recall Thankyou.

Happened to be driving our car (11/23/25) to drop off our other car for brake pad replacement. On the way to our mechanic the brake light came on in the dash cluster. After having spoken to our mechanic we prepared to leave the car we planned to drop off. Got in our Hyundai Tucson and the brake light was still on, odd. Proceed to back up and he brake pedal almost went to the floor. Got out looked underneath the car and there was a puddle of brake fluid. The Hyundai was unsafe to drive as it had no brakes and we left it at our mechanic. He called Friday to say Hyundai longer makes the brake lines and he was searching for the front brake lines that corroded away and failed. He said the rear lines we coated to protect them from corrosion and the front lines were not. Learned over the weekend that the Canadian government recalled almost 300K Hyundai vehicles for corroded or failed brake lines. Why hasn't the US addressed this serious safety issue? My image is too large to be accepted by your system. Is there another way to submit it? We were incredibly fortunate as we were going home on a highway at rush. If the brakes failed I'm certain we and others would have been injured.

I am writing regarding the NHTSA Recall Number23V651000. I have been on a waiting list since July when the recall notice about a remedy finally being determined was sent in the mail. I have now called Hyundai of Cool Springs in Tennessee about where I am on the list. At one point they were saying September, then when I called again they were thinking some time in November. We are now almost out of November and I am not getting any updates and would like to park my daughter's vehicle in the garage. The dealership is saying that parts or something on back order with no idea on when I can expect an appointment to resolve this issue. I didn't let my daughter take the car to college thinking I would be able to resolve this by the time we were hitting winter break and her returning to school in January. Please provide guidance on other options to get this remedy taken care of. Thank you

My wife was driving this vehicle 2 weeks ago and smoke came out of the driverside hood. She pulled into a parking space then the smoke came out the other side. Vehicle was towed as it would restart to the dealership. They have not done anything to look at the problem today. I reported this to their corporate for their records again little help. Based on the actual happening my research tells me it is a ABS issue, which is recalled but they have not done thar either. I ask that you get involved for your records. The vehicle is at Priorty Hyundai in Chesapeake, VA. S Military Highway. I hope you can get involve as I am concerned they maybe trying to mask this incident.

The contact stated while attempting to grab the fire extinguisher in the trunk, she noticed that there was fire underneath the vehicle. The vehicle became engulfed in fire. A fire department report and a police report were filed but were not currently available. The contact and the three other passengers who were occupying the vehicle at the time of the incident sustained trauma but did not seek medical assistance. This is a complaint related to the status of Hyundai's recall 251. The recall has gone on for months without a resolution, and puts me and my passengers at risk should there be a fire. On April 4, 2024, I received an email notice from Stafford Brown Hyundai that indicated a fix was ready for my car. I made an appointment to complete the fix, scheduled for Tuesday April 9. Two hours after dropping off my car, I received a phone call from Stafford Brown Hyundai indicating the fix was still not available for my car. They did not know when it would be available. This recall has gone on for an unacceptable length with no fix available. The risk to myself, my passengers, and my property is high. A resolution needs to be implemented now. Furthermore, Hyundai needs better management of how they communicate information to their dealers and car owners in regards to this recall, so as not to send inaccurate updates and create confusion.

I purchased this vehicle from an acquaintance, who had it serviced by a local mechanic. Before I decided to buy it, I spoke with the mechanic he used, as well as calling the dealer with the vin number to verify that the recall issues had been taken care of. It was purchased around 9/19/2022 per the title. I change the oil and rotate the tires every 3000 miles. Checking the oil weekly to see if it needs filling.I was attending an outdoor music show about 120 miles away. After leaving and not getting more than 20miles from the venue late that evening, my car with no indication slowed down and thankfully with not as much traffic I was able to pull to the side of the highway. The car would not turn over. I heard no noises when this occurred, nor did I smell anything, it just it quit working. It was late when the car was towed to S&B Automotive in Bridgewater. I had to wait for a ride and didn’t get home till early morning. When I contacted the place where it was towed, they said I needed a new engine at $6,000.00. I drained my bank account to pay for this 2011 Hyundai Tucson. So I could not have it repaired and was not aware of the recall and still never received the recall notice to this day. Just the one regarding the key issue and class action suit. If I had known that there was a recall on this vehicle I would have had it towed to the dealership for the repair and then traded it in for another vehicle other than a Hyundai. I was forced to take out an unwanted loan in order to purchase another vehicle. This vehicle although well maintained has too many issues. I still have the title as I inadvertently gave the automotive company the wrong title. I want to be compensated for the full blue book value of this vehicle.

Recall strongly recccommends parking car outside and away from structures due to possible fire which can also occur during driving. This problem has been going on with Hyundai cars for several years - AND THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION??? I called my two local dealerships and neither was aware of recall campaign 251. I asked if my ABS module completely failed - what module would they replace it with? I was advised that they would probably sell me a new one costing $1900 plus labor THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Hyundai is not taking this seriously - This is not being repaired in a timely manner. PLEASE RESTRICT THEM FROM SELLING ANYMORE CARS IN THE USA UNTIL THIS RECALL HAS A REMEDY!

The contact was informed by the technician that the oil pan was leaking and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The contact stated that the case was denied and informed that the vehicle was not covered under warranty due to the age of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 79,300.

The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speed, she heard a knocking and ticking noise coming from under the hood of the vehicle. The oil warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the mechanic informed the contact that the oil was low and needed to be refilled. The contact stated that the oil was refilled however, a month later the knocking and ticking noise was heard from the engine and the oil warning light intermittently illuminated. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V101000 (Engine). The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the valve gasket seal needed to be replaced and oil pressure switch was replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, while driving from the dealer she heard the knocking and ticking noise in the engine with the engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle started to shake and went into Limp Mode. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number and advised to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 148,981.

I had my car repaired due to an open recall in April. I got in my car yesterday and while driving the car shut off and there seemed to be a liquid leaking from under the car. I had the car towed to Key Hyundai of Milford where the recall work in addition to other work was done. I am really worried because I could have gotten hurt if other cars where nearby. Also the dealership is saying it may take up to 2 weeks for them to inspect my vehicle. I need suggestions as to my best course of action.

The ABS and Master Cylinder both had a pressure leak which caused the brakes to not engage. The sensor light also never activated to indicate a problem. While driving down the road my brakes would not engage unless I began to pump them, and even then they were unpredictable. We do not currently have the old parts as it was disposed of by the mechanic we went to. The independent mechanic was able to replicate the problem when the car was at a standstill in the shop. It was not inspected by anyone but the independent mechanic. There was no warning prior to this issue occurring. It started out small and I reported it to my mechanic but they could not replicate it. However within a time frame of 3 weeks, it was very severe and deemed unsafe to drive. P

IT TOOK A 1 WEEKS TO GET THE CAR IN. MY CAR STALLED TWICE DURING THAT TIME. MY 2011 HYUNDAI TUCSON STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY CITY ROAD . I WAS GOING STRAIGHT WITH 40 MILES/HOUR WHEN MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER FOR UNNOWN REASON, AND STARTED SLOWING DOWN, THEN COMPLETELY STOPPED. THE ENGINE STOPPED, GAS PEDAL WAS NOT RESPONDING. THE CAR IMMEDIATELY FILLED WITH SMOKE WHICH I ATTRIBUTED TO THE AIR BAGS BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW ANY BETTER. VERY SCARED, I SCREAMED FOR THE KIDS TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. SMOKE WAS GONE BY THE TIME POLICE ARRIVED. WE WERE OK, MY SON AND I HAD SORE RIBS AND WHILE TALKING WITH POLICE MY LEFT HAND WAS BURNING FROM SOMETHING. NOTHING WAS VISIBLE SO I SAW KNOW POINT IN TELLING ANYONE. IT LEFT A RASH AND WITHIN TIME IT PEELED AND NOW IS BACK TO NORMAL. A FEW DAYS LATER, HAD SOME HEADACHES. WENT TO THE ATHLETIC TRAINER AT OUR SCHOOL (I AM A TEACHER) AND WAS PUT ON CONCUSSION PROTOCOL. CAR WAS TOTALED. THE FRONT LOOKED LIKE AN ACCORDION AS WE WERE PUSHED SIGNIFICANTLY INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT BY THE CAR WHO HIT US FROM BEHIND. I WAS SO RELIEVED THAT EVERYONE WAS OK THAT I REALLY DID NOT THINK ABOUT IT UNTIL RECALL NOTICE CAME FOR THE CAR WHICH OF COURSE WAS ALREADY GONE. ENGINE PROBLEMS WITH "OIL LEAKS AND POSSIBLE SPONTANEOUS FIRES, INCREASING RISK FOR ACCIDENT" IS THE WORDING ON THE RECALL.

HYDRAULIC TENSIONER FAILING RESULTING IN TIMING SLIP AND CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. OUR CAR HAD STOPPED WORKING WHILE TRAVELLING ON A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBOURHOOD, AND NEEDED A TOW TO THE DEALERSHIP. UPON INVESTIGATION, WE FOUND OUT THAT THE TIMING BELT TENSIONER FAILED, LIKELY DUE TO LACK OF OIL PRESSURE. THERE WAS OIL IN THE ENGINE AT THE TIME SET AT THE CORRECT LEVEL. WE LATER FOUND OUT THAT THIS SIMILAR MOTOR ON OTHER MODELS HAS HAD A LARGE RECALL. PLUGGAGE COULD HAVE LED TO LACK OF OIL PRESSURE CAUSING IT TO FAIL. LUCKILY NO OTHER DAMAGE OCCURED DURING THIS INCIDENT BUT THIS COULD HAVE POTENTIALLY HIGH CONSEQUENCES IF TRAVELLING ON THE FREEWAY. HYUNDAI HAS SHOWN NO SUPPORT OR RECOGNITION IN THIS ISSUE SO FAR AND IT SHOULD BE REPORTED.

I RECEIVED A LETTER OF RECALL IN MARCH 2016, STATING I WOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS. I SUBMITTED THE "REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT". I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM HYUNDAI ON MARCH 25TH, 2016, STATING THEY WOULD PROCESS THE REIMBURSEMENT IN 90 DAYS. THEY REQUESTED A COPY OF THE REPAIR SHEET FROM THE HYUNDAI DEALER, WHICH I SENT ALONG WITH THE COST DOCUMENTING WHERE I HAD PAID FOR THE REPAIR. ON JUNE 15, (82 DAYS), I RECEIVED A LETTER REQUESTING A "CLEAR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT SHOWING NAME OF CARD HOLDER ON STATEMENT". THE CREDIT CARD STATEMENT WAS SENT THE SAME DAY SHOWING THE NAME. HAVING HEARD NO WORD, I FOLLOWED UP ON JUNE 27TH (94 DAYS). I RECEIVED A RESPONSE REQUESTING THE SAME INFORMATION TO WHICH I STATED I HAD ALREADY SENT IT AND SENT ANOTHER COPY. ON JUNE 29TH (96 DAYS), I RECEIVED A CALL REQUESTING MY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE NAME ON THE CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, TO WHICH I RESPONDED IT WAS MY WIFE'S NAME AS WE SHARE THE CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN EXTENSIVE PUDDLE UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT HAD BEEN WAITING FOR DAYS FOR THE DEALER TO DETERMINE THE PARTS AND REMEDY TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V057000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A SPECIFIC DATE TO SUPPLY THE PARTS TO THE DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

I'VE BEEN HAVING A SERIOUS, REOCCURRING PROBLEM, THAT THE SERVICE TEAM CONTINUES TO MISS-DIAGNOSE. WHILE ACCELERATING, MY CAR WILL SUDDENLY LOSE ALL POWER. THE ENGINE CONTINUES TO FUNCTION JUST FINE, AND THE RPM'S CONTINUE TO RISE (VERY RAPIDLY), BUT NO POWER IS BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE WHEELS. THE SERVICE TEAM HAS DECIDED THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MY TIRE PRESSURE, WHICH IS CLEARLY NOT THE CASE. THIS ISSUE IS EITHER SOFTWARE RELATED, OR IS SYMPTOMATIC OF A DRIVETRAIN PROBLEM, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, OR FRONT/REAR DIFFERENTIAL. THIS IS A SERIOUS CONCERN FOR MY SAFETY, AND THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY. I'M REPORTING TO THE NHTSA. I HAVE BEEN DRIVEN OFF OF THE ROAD TWICE BECAUSE OF MY INABILITY TO ACCELERATE WHEN NEEDED. I RECENTLY REACHED 115000 MILES ON MY TUCSON. IT STARTED 2 WEEKS AGO, THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR HIGHER OUTPUT THAN IT SHOULD. IT CAUSED THE VEHICLE NOT TO START SINCE IT WOULDN'T HOLD A CHARGE. ONCE REPLACED, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN NOT LONG AFTER SO I TOOK IT INTO A SHOP. THEY FOUND THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE TWO OF THE CAM SHAFT SENSORS. A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO, DRIVINGMY HUSBAND AND KIDS, THE RMP GAUGE WENT OUT AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. ONCE STOPPED AND RESTARTED, THE RPM GAUGE RE-ENGAGED AND DRIVE FINE. NO ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. DRIVING HOME TODAY, 66 MILES AWAY FROM HOME ON INTERSTATE 78 IN NEW JERSEY, THE RMP GAUGE WENT OUT AGAIN. I PULLED OVER ON THE SHOULDER, PUT ON MY FLASHERS AND SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE. I WAITED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, THIS TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ENGAGED. I WAS A FEW MILES FROM MY EXIT, AND THE RMP GAUGE AGAIN WENT OUT, AT THIS POINT, I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE AND THERE WERE TRACTOR TRAILERS ALL AROUND ME. WHILE REVIEWING OTHER HYUNDAI ISSUES, I SEE OTHER MODELS HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES, YET NO RECALL FOR THE TUCSON. THE DEALERSHIP WANTED ME TO LEAVE THE CAR THERE OVERNIGHT TO DUPLICATE THE CONDITIONS OF THE CAR NOT STARTING UP, BUT WERE NOT WILLING TO LET ME USE A FREE LOANER. ON THE MORNING OF 28 MARCH 2013, APPROXIMATELY 20 SECONDS AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, A LOUD MECHANICAL CLUNK WAS HEARD AND FELT FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT, THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT RESPOND, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, AND THE P,R,N,D INDICATOR IN THE DASH BOARD DISPLAY WENT BLANK. THE CAR WAS SHIFTED INTO P, A LOUD MECHANICAL CLUNK' WAS HEARD AND FELT FOLLOWED BY A LOUD CRUNCH'. THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF, AND THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED WITH NO ISSUES ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS WARMED UP. 2. RECALL SERVICE FOR THE TRANSMISSION COOLING LINE COUPLING PERFORMED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN EXIBITING THE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGE AND REENGAGE SYMPTOM WHILE DRIVING UNDER ACCELERATION. THIS OCCURS APPROXIMATELY ONCE A DAY UNDER ANY INCLINE OR FLAT CONDITION WHILE ACCELERATING. 3. WHILE ACCELERATING UP HILL, SPECIFICALLY UP HILL WHILE ACCELERATING UP TO 45 MPH THE VEHICLE WILL DOWN SHIFT TO CLIMB THE HILL. UNDER 2 CONDITIONS 1. CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, 2. CONSTANT ACCELERATOR PEDAL APPLICATION.THE VEHICLE WILL NOT RE-UPSHIFT ONCE THE HILL HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND KEEPS AN ELEVATED RPM RANGE OF APPROXIMATELY 3000 RPM EVEN WHILE ON LEVEL GROUND WHILE PASSING TAX AND REVENUE. THE RPMS DO NOT LOWER AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT UP SHIFT UNTIL EITHER THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED (TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL), OR THE ACCELERATOR IS LIFTED. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO COOLING LINES, TRANSMISSIONS AND BRAKE SWITCHES REPLACEMENTS MORE THAN ONCE. *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD NT ACCELERATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD BUCK AND BANG WHEN IT WAS SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE. THE DEALER FOUND THE TRANSMISSION WAS WORN INTERNALLY AND THE COOLER HOSE WAS CRACKED, WHICH CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO LEAK. WE WERE HEADING OUT ON VACATION FROM AKRON, OHIO WHEN THE DASHBOARD LOW AIR PRESSURE TIRE LIGHT CAME ON DURING OUR TRIP. WE EXITED OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT FOR GAS AND TO ADD AIR TO THE REAR TIRE. WE HEARD AIR LEAKING FROM THE TIRE TREAD AREA AND HAD TO GO TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP IN SISSONVILLE, WV FOR THE REPAIR. THE REPAIR SHOP REPORTED THAT WE HAD TREAD SEPARATION AND THAT THE STEEL BELT MADE A HOLE IN THE TIRE. HE CHANGED OUR TIRE WITH A USED ONE TO GET US TO OUR DESTINATION IN NORTH CAROLINA. IN BOONE N.C. WE HAD OUR TIRES LOOKED AT AND THEY SHOWED US THE WE HAD ANOTHER TIRE WITH A 4 INCH SLIT IN THE TREAD AREA AND WAS CUPPED ( A BROKEN BELT); THIS ALSO WAS THE REAR TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD LOOK INTO THE MATTER. THE TRANSMISSION/GEARS GETS STUCK WHEN I WANT TO PUT IT IN REVERSE. THIS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A WALL. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR BODY REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO REPLACE BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 585.

I WENT TO STOP AT A STORE AND MY CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO PARK FROM DRIVE, THE FARTHEST I COULD GET IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. AFTER MESSING WITH IT FOR 5 MINUTES I FINALLY GOT THE CAR INTO PARK. AFTER LEAVING THAT STORE I WENT TO GO TO ANOTHER AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER FOR SERVICE AND TOOK MY VEHICLE THERE. I HAVE DONE SOME SEARCHING ONLINE AND SEE THAT THIS IS NOT A NEW ISSUE WITH TUCSONS AS PEOPLE WITH OLDER MODELS(2010 AND BACK) HAVE ALSO HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND SOME OF THEM REPORT IT'S DUE TO A BAD BRAKE SWITCH AND ONCE IT WAS REPLACED THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PROBLEM AGAIN.
