2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer RS (123,000) - Coolant control Valve failure Cooling issues after 20-25 mins of driving. No Check engine lights initially just temperature gauge climbing. After 3 day of trying to drive to and from work. "Engine reduced" and P3075 code. Had it towed to dealership, in which they replaced the water pump. This DID NOT fix the issue. The next two drives (from work, and to work), I had to pull off the road several times to get the car cooled down, and run heater on full blast to drop temperature. Pulling off the road in heavy interstate traffic consistently because of the Coolant Control Valve (25207464 GM). Not to mention me, looking at the temp gauge most of the way to work, versus eyes on the road. The old thermostats would at least give you a temperature code, and not an Engine Coolant Flow Too Low error which leads to water pump being replaced erroneously. Going to plastic control valve next to a hot engine, sounds as good as plastic car jacks for this car. Oh, wait, that happened to me as well, and they recalled it after it broke on me at 2 am in the morning.

While driving down the interstate my 2021 Chevy Trailblazer suddenly flashed "Battery Saver Mode" on the dash and shut off completely. I was able to coast to the side of the road and call for help. This was a MAJOR safety issue as my 4 year old son was riding with me and we could've caused or gotten into a serious accident. There were no previous warnings and no Check Engine Light came on prior to it shutting off--I had been having no issues. The car will not turn on and when attempting to, it makes a screeching noise. I had to get it towed to a local service center who stated my car has "catastrophic engine failure". They advised the issue could be either "timing chain or a dropped valve"--unable to confirm until they take the engine apart completely. They denied issues with the battery or starter and said the engine was completely blown. There was less than 120k miles on it and i kept up with maintenance.

While driving at highway speeds, my vehicle suddenly enters low power/limp mode, severely reducing acceleration and creating a dangerous situation in traffic. This occurred multiple times. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a faulty gas pedal (accelerator) sensor and stated the vehicle is unsafe to drive under these conditions. The required part has been on back order for months, and no repair has been completed. The dealership promised a loaner vehicle due to safety concerns but failed to provide one and has had no communication for over four months. I am now required to travel long distances and fear loss of power will occur again while driving on the highway, posing a serious safety risk.

Coolant control valve replacement after 5 years of purchasing the vehicle. Put at risk of over heating while driving, fan stays on after vehicle is turned off. Problem confirmed by 2 dealerships. Check engine light on for a long time, fan over working, staying on after the vehicle is off. The only warnings were the engine light coming on to get inspected and fan over running. 1st came up in December 2025 and it is now almost April 2026 costing me $1600 in repairs!! There are other Chevy models that this looks like it is being covered for but my vehicle is having this issue now and is not being covered?!?? Ever since i bought this vehicle brand new in 2021 it was labeled a lemon and have had nothing but issue after issue after issue!!

HAD VEHICHLE TOWED TWO MILES TO RESIDENCE AND CONNECTED TO OBDII SCANNER, WHICH SHOWED 6 NEW CODES (P0006, P228C, P0089, P0340, P0365, P0299).

While driving on the highway, I heard a loud pop that made me flinch and swerve. After parking I noticed the glass in the sunroof had exploded upward like a volcano, leaving a large hole. Fortunately the shade was closed, or glass would have come into the car while I was driving.

When stopped at a red light & the light turns green & I accelerate, the vehicle does not move. It makes a loud noise and jumps. This happens way too many times. There’s also an issue with the brakes, when you press on them, you can hear something grinding, which should not be happening because I bought the car brand new. Also the brakes have always been super squeaky, which is very frustrating because they should not be with a brand new car once again. The engine light goes on and off randomly and doesn’t say anything.

The message "Brake Failure - Speed Reduced to 53 MPH – Service Required" was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the dealer stated that the vehicle could not be diagnosed because diagnostic tests were available only by appointment. The dealer informed the contact that the computer software needed to be reset to drive the vehicle back to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the contact information about a recall; however, the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 135,884.

This vehicle was sold as new when this vehicle had a defective Turbo Underboost issue from a ECM Issue previously prior to the 2022 Trailblazer being sold to us. This vehicle has a shift to park issue which sticks when you try to Park the vehicle. Next This vehicle has had 4 prior incidents of attempted repair of this Turbo Underboost and a failure to pass emissions which lead to the engine and transmission failure of this vehicle. I have waited since July 6, 2025 of this vehicle being in the shop no rental no loaner. Now no replacement vehicle. For more than nine months and a General Motors open claim since 07/06/2025! GM is hiding the truth about Recalls and Road Hazards not listed to vehicle like this 2021 Trailblazer and other GM vehicles that GM refuses to replace and cannot repair or cover the additional financial hardship placed on unwitting consumer as they sell defective vehicle wholesale or as new vehicles through Chevrolet Dealership across this goble. We must STOP this from happening. GM is not even honoring the Government Guidelines forcing victims to hire counsel to buy time and prevent massive Recalls like ours.

My 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer has a defect in the gear shifter system that intermittently fails to recognize when the vehicle has been shifted into “Park.” When this occurs, the vehicle displays a persistent “Shift to Park” warning message and prevents the engine from being turned off or the vehicle from being locked. This malfunction creates a safety and consumer concern, as I am unable to exit and secure the vehicle and am forced to remain inside or leave the vehicle running and unattended. The issue interferes with normal vehicle operation and poses potential safety risks, particularly in situations where I need to quickly power down, exit, or secure the vehicle. After a quick internet search, this issue appears to be affecting multiple others with the same vehicle (2021-2023). A prior lawsuit against GM also resulted in a settlement and recall for older model Trailblazers, but unfortunately did not include the newer models that are experiencing the same known issue. • Gear shifter system is malfunctioned, specific reason and/or part is unknown. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. • Safety risks noted above. • Problem has been confirmed over the phone and via text by local Chevrolet dealership. Only solution offered was to pay over $650+ for a fix that is not guaranteed to fully resolve the error. • Vehicle or component has not been physically inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance reps, or others. • No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms occurred prior.

After trying to remove rhe key from ignition, it gets stuck and won't come out unless I turn the car on, shift it into drive, wiggle the steering wheel, and try it again. Sometimes it works. Alot of times it take 5-10 min to get it out.

The issue is the yellow engine light lit up on the dash of my 2021 Trailblazer in late August of 2025. At the same time, the cluster displayed the message "Engine Power is Reduced". Over the next few weeks my car engine would randomly stall out while I was driving! As you can imagine, this is a very unsafe driving condition. My car stalls and I'm in traffic and have no ability at all to control the vehicle. This happened at least 4 times to me. When I checked the On Board Diagnostic codes on my vehicle the system reported back U060F (Mass Air Flow Sensor). I searched online for this condition with 2021 Trailblazers and found GM Service Bulletin number 22-NA-008, dated March of 2022. This Service Bulletin clearly shows that Chevrolet were well aware of a problem years before it occurred to my vehicle. So, in October I took my car to Bowman Auto Center, explained all of the above to them, and I mentioned the Service Bulletin that I found. Their investigation found that, indeed, the cause of my engine stalling was broken wires to the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF sensor). Bowman repaired my car and billed me 364.44 as shown on the attached 2-page Repair Order. I tried to make the case with the Bowman Service Department that this should be a warranty repair, and paid by GM. Bowman responded that it was only a Service Bulletin from GM for the issue, and the customer is responsible for payment. I am astonished that repair of this product Design Failure, which results in an unsafe driving condition, would be paid for by the customer! The reason I call it a Design Failure is because NO wiring should break during the life of a vehicle. Engines rock and move, and the Trailblazer design should have compensated for this engine movement by having a sufficient slack loop designed into the wire harness leading to the Mass Air Flow sensor. I filed a case with Chevrolet, number 80982656, but they declined my request for reimbursement .

There is a faulty sensor on this car that does not allow the car to be properly parked and gives the error message "Shift to park" on the dashboard. You have to turn the car back on and mess with the shifter multiple times to get it to register that it is park. This usually takes about 10 attempts every time you need to park the car. There are other reports regarding this exact issue on this car that further validates that this issue is relevant and needs to be addressed through a recall.

THE LOCKING MECHANISM HAS WENT OUT IN ALL DOORS. UNABLE TO UNLOCK / LOCK AND ONCE THEY ARE LOCKED, UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR UNLESS IT IS OPENED FROM THE INSIDE. I REPLACED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR AND MECHANIC STATED THEY ALL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the under boost, transmission control module, and transmission control solenoid had failed, and there was a loss of communication with the radio and loss of communication with the telematic control module. The mechanic advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

Experiencing reduced speed, rattling noise, check engine light, power steering light on. Chevy app shows throttle control system and antilock break system error messages. Took to Chev dealership. Advised it was fuel injector (1 /4 was burned out). Had all 4 replaced ($3000). Picked up car on a Friday, vehicle was having the same issues next day Saturday. Took it back on Monday, it is now Wednesday and they’re saying it’s the turbo charger now (another $3000). Mechanic couldn’t figure out what the issue was so it took 3 days for him to now say it’s the turbo charger. I think it was the turbo charger from the get go! What’s the purpose of the diagnostics ($250)? Isn’t it to pinpointed the issue? 1st day, took him 4 hours to say it was the fuel injector. 2nd time around it took 3 days. I kept showing them and telling them it’s the throttle control system! They’re trying to rip me off! Mechanic is saying he’s been test driving it and no issues. I took a photo of my mileage before I handed them my car and it was 79,190. The mileage today says 79,191. How and where is he test driving it if it’s only been 1 mile? Reverse and forward ? They’re lying

My vehicle started flashing “shift to park” about 2 weeks ago, after being in a GM dealership for 18 days for repair. I immediately notified them my CEL was back on and what it was showing on my dashboard ( shift to park). I dropped it off on a Saturday and that same day they told me they could not figure out what was wrong with it. I texted the Service Advisor of the notification I was having and if that was the issue to which she did not do anything about. The issue is that it will stay on, and flash and can drain my battery out and it will not allow me to lock my car or it tells me that my vehicle remote is not inside to turn it off. When I called the dealership about it, they told me that the S.A. Did not mention the issue I was having and she was not concerned with it- and they would look at it but will charge me for it ( while they already had possession of my vehicle). Dealership told me they saw no code for it and it wasn’t showing up on their end when they had my car. But the day I picked it up, and put it in park it started doing the exact issue I told them about. They told me they were getting my car to “act up” and they would of clearly seen the notification on my dash and did not look into it. Insurance has not looked into it and no one seems to be able to help me and I’ve already paid $1000.00 to two different body shops to fix my car and it’s still having that issue. At current, it’s flashing “shift to park” and I can’t get it to stop and I have to keep turning my car on. It’s a huge safety issue as it’s going to drain my battery out or cause me to not be able to start my vehicle

While driving, a service warning came on that reads "Service Power Steering" - when that came on, the brakes ceased to work properly and required significant force, causing a big delay in braking. It is not safe to drive due to the limited braking. This mirrors the recall situation for other 2021 Trailblazer models with the interrupted brake sensor.

My vehicle displayed a Shift to Park message even though I was already in Park. I could not turn off the engine, I could not lock my car. I had to go back into Drive and then Park mode and wiggle the shifter multiple times to get it to recognize Park and turn off the car. This is now happening almost every time I drive the car. I did an internet search to see how to rectify the problem only to find that this exact issue has plagued GM vehicles for a decade and they still have not chosen to rectify the faulty part. There have been multiple recalls and class action lawsuits for the SHIFT TO PARK fault but not for my vehicle year YET! There are many Trailblazer owners who are experiencing this exact issue (on online forums) and GM so far is refusing to take responsibility and issue a recall to fix the issue for owners and also to stop using this faulty system in their cars. I have reached out to GM about this multiple times the past few weeks and requested they pay for diagnostic and fix the problem because it is a common and known problem with GM vehicles but they want me to pay for it myself and the repair and then they may decide to help out - unacceptable in my opinion. To be honest there needs to be a recall NOW and GM needs to be forced to change the components in all new models to stop this happening in future models going forward. This problem can cause the car battery to drain, it can cause the vehicle to roll away if it’s not recognizing it’s in Park. Thankfully that hasn’t happened to me but others have had this happen. Not being able to shut the engine off or lock my car is a problem. This is a safety issue that needs addressing. I have lots of messages and communication from General Motors which I have attempted to attach the screenshots with the photo below but get an error message on the upload page.

One day while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle shut off without warning, and the contact was stranded in the middle of the highway. The transmission shift control / transmission range sensor / shift interlock solenoid in my Chevrolet Trailblazer is malfunctioning. When I shift the vehicle into park, it fails to recognize the gear change and displays an error message stating, “Shift to Park.” As a result, I'm unable to shut off the engine properly, which poses both a safety risk and a serious inconvenience. I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue thoroughly and consider issuing a recall to address the defect.

I am unsure which component maybe failing, Vehicle has not been in altered in any way ,inspected yet, nor has any warning indicators. This 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer uses a traditional key for ignition. On several occasions now, the key is becoming lodged/stuck in the ignition when attempting to shut down or turn off the engine and remove the key. Have made sure foot is on the brake, front steering tires are straight, Shifter is properly engaged in the park position, and even jiggled the key tumbler assembly. Have had to leave the stuck key in the ignition while grocery shopping, until returning home to ask my fiance for his help and assistance. When this problem happens it is not only an inconvenience, but leaving a key in the ignition to an unattended car, obviously is not good, and leaves opportunity for many not good possibilites to occur.

The vehicle keeps vibrating binding lurching jumping when driving going in reverse and turning the car in a circle I took it in they replaces they rear end and transfer case on it there was a lot of metal shavings in both no clue or explanation why got the vehicle back over a month later to the same problems as before took it back in they went for a test drive with us and verified its still happening and that day they shrugged shoulders they dont know why or what's happing they supposedly got ahold of trailblazer and they said this is normal for these vehicles and safe to drive .the vehicle dont sound or feel very safe at all I am reaching out for help with this the vehicle does this every time you drive it

Month of June of 2024 I purchased 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT with 31k miles on the odometer I had to service my vehicle and had to replace the fuel pump, took weeks to get in due to the strike that took place, Chevrolet will not back behind their employees nor their consumers. They only honored me 15pts on my vehicle, a few months pass and more issues arise one being the manifold sensor (a) and then another two days on the road the wiring harness thankfully my car was under a secondary warranty and I paid $200 per repair, although this became a very costly month being $600 car payment and $400 in repairs in a matter of a few months owning the vehicle, I am having similar issues again with the wiring harness a year later.

The contact stated that after the failure, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the variable valve timing system. Additionally, the dealer found that the intake camshaft actuator was incorrectly positioned, resulting in damages to the exhaust camshaft. The vehicle was not repaired. On 5 separate occasions the windshield wipers have stopped working while in use. The wipers returned to the home position and would not turn back on. Each time I had to get safely to the side of the road and stop shut the car off while travelling at highway speeds. After 10-15 minutes the wipers began working until the next incident. My safety as well as others on the road I was travelling were put at risk as I was not able to see out of the front windshield. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than me. Upon starting vehicle it would idle for 30secs to 1 minute before shutting completely down, then would prompt to engage brake and push start/stop button to turn back on. Two different times while driving at 60+ mph the vehicle completely stalled losing power steering and brakes. Both times when the vehicle shut down it would say to push start/stop button and then place vehicle in park, engage brake to restart. When the vehicle stalled I was getting onto a highway and was about 2 seconds from being hit from behind by a semi while I was at almost a standstill while they were doing 70+. Have taken it back to the dealership both times and it died on them once but there is no solution to this issue as no codes come up.

I could turn off the engine after driving, but the key stays in the position between the engine being on and the car being off (for example when you can listen to music but your car isn’t running). The battery light came on after the issue started and so the car service place charged us to replace the battery, because they had to turn on and of the car a lot and the car had to continue to run. I took it to a car service place and they ran tests and called Chevy test support to run diagnosis tests. They can’t figure it out. They think it might be the body control module. Not sure what that is. The car only has 31,000 miles on it and this is a safety issue because what if this happens and the steering wheel locks or it becomes a rolling hazard. This would affect the driver and others. There were no lights or errors indicating a problem before this happened.

On [XXX] while driving on the highway my check engine light came on. The car turned off while going 60MPH on the 18 mile stretch towards Miami from Key west and luckily there were no cars around me. I checked for the code and it was P1467 for the Evap Purge Pump. I took it to a dealership in Miami and they told me it would be fine to drive that the part needed to be replaced. I drove back to key west and bought the replacement part. That same part did not work. I checked to see if the part was receiving voltage and it was. So i will continue with going to the dealership. My wife and son have developed a cough from having to constantly smell the fumes due to their existing asthma. I will never buy another chevy again.

Engine power reduced came on after I was driving from a patient’s home. My car started driving very rough. I had to pull over because I was in danger of being hit from behind. On numerous occasions (typically when needing to accelerate into the flow of traffic), the Reduced Engine Power message and engine light came on, the car rapidly decelerated to 35 mph, and would not accelerate rapidly. Turbocharger, waste gate actuator, and other parts need replaced and reprogrammed, but issue persists. On one occasion, power was reduced and car was stuck "revving" at 25 mph. I have had to swerve off the road to avoid a crash of being rear-ended. Issue started around 60,000 but has happened at least 5 separate times.

2021 Chevy Trailblazer When I go to park my car, there is a constant error of 'Shift to Park'. The car is already in park. I must wiggle the shifting knob, restart my car, or drive around before my car will turn off and recognize that it is in park. My safety is compromised each time I get in the car. If the car cannot recognize it is in park, what happens when it can't recognize it is in drive as I am on the road? Or reverse? Or any gear? My safety is also affected because my car does not realize it is in park, and at times I cannot exit my car. I am highly concerned that the car does not truly know which gear it is in and it compromises not only my safety, but the safety of my family/other passengers, and other drivers on the road. The problem is a known problem and there is an active fix bulletin for the problem. GM cannot get the part in stock - it has been 5 weeks. It affects not only my year, make, and model, but many others too. GM continues to sell the cars with this known safety defect. This defect has been confirmed by the dealership, and GM has sent out a known fix for the issue (TSB PIT5616A). There is also a class action lawsuit for this specific issue with GM. GM's solution to me is to trade in my car for a newer model rather than waiting for the part. In addition, many cars of my year, make, and model require a whole new transmission, but GM will only replace the shifter harness to start with, if and when they receive the part. I was told that the part could take up to six months to receive. For an issue that has been happening since at least 2019, this is unacceptable. The only warning that I receive is when I am trying to shut off my car and it will not shut off due to this error. This has been happening to my car for 2 months, but there seems to be a history of this defect since at least 2019.

This vehicle has approximately 35,000 miles of driving time on the odometer. This car will not recognize that the shift lever has been place into the Park position. Doors will not lock when the car is turned off. If trying to seek refuge from an assailant, the car will only alarm but will not lock the doors for safety. Also, while storing items in the vehicle while at a metropolitan hospital (where I work) or a metropolitan grocery/fuel station, the vehicle will only alarm but will not lock under any circumstance. The car is responding as if the car is still in a movement gear position and will not recognize the shift position of Park. I have heard of many similar documented cases regarding this particular shift issue in relation to the 2021 Chevrolet Trail Blazer yet there has been no related recall related to this ever more prevalent repair need. some reports (not ours...) report the automobile transmission converting to park while in movement and while in a selected movement shift position. I do not want this to happen to me. My car (VIN # [XXX] ) is at the dealership for repair. The dealership informs us that the needed part(s) are currently under manufacture at a supplier and that there is no estimated date for the part(s) arrival or date to complete this repair. When I place my car in park, a "shift to park" message appears on the dashboard. I am unable to fully turn my car off and the car will ding at me. I have tried driving around the parking lot, pushing the shifter from side to side and into another gear then park again, going forward and backward, but the problem still exists. It started to occur more frequently, until it occurred every time I drove the car. I'm not sure if the car is actually in park, so when I finally get it to turn off, I place the emergency brake on. I can not physically turn the car off when this message appears on the dashboard. I took the vehicle to the service center of the dealer on 11/12/2024. I was told this has been a big problem with GM cars and they have had many cars coming in with the same problem. Currently the part is on backorder, and there is not an ETA as to when it will be available due to high demand for this part.

Our 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer was purchased last December in 2023. For at least a week now the "shift to park" alarm goes off, practically every time we put it in park & turn the engine off. It wont shut up. The lights stay on, and it won't let you turn the alarm on. Sometimes if I wait and go back & jiggle the gear shifter through different gears, and turn the engine on & off it might stop, show me a "check the rear seat" warning, and be alright( until the next time I drive it and try to park it). It's becoming more & more persistent. I checked with the Chevrolet dealer, and they said the vin number isn't listed under the recall, so GMC won't cover it. We don't have the money to take care of it ourselves, and don't know what to do.

I was driving on the highway and out of nowhere the exhaust pipe after the converter had fallen on the road at highway speed. It happened to be the rear pipe leading to the muffler, which is behind the rear bumper, so when the pipe fell, it fell facing the front of the vehicle. The fact that I was able to get the vehicle to a nearby rest stop safely was amazing in itself, that nothing more tragic happened at highway speed with the exhaust pipe facing forward on the ground is a miracle. How does this happen to a 3 year old vehicle? The flatbed driver said he thought there was a recall on the Trailblazer, as he had towed several with the same problem. I called GM, they assured me that there was no recall and could schedule me a service appt to have the vehicle assessed and repaired, I declined, I already have an estimate from my local repair facility, which is still quite a bit of money.

After putting vehicle into park and shutting off the engine, the warning appears “shift to park” and will not allow the vehicle to completely shut off. For the past few months I have been able to maneuver the shifter and the car recognize it is in park, however this past weekend nothing would work and the vehicle stayed in accessory mode until the battery died. I have spoken to two local dealerships and they are aware of the problem. I am currently awaiting a local repair shop to research the issue and get back to me if they can repair it and what the cost will be. This began in September, I am unsure the exact date. Upon researching this, there are hundreds of vehicles that have had or are having this issue going back as far as 2018 at least. General Motors has been aware since then and only issued an inquiry to dealerships last November. This is clearly a defect in manufacturing that should have been recalled and remedied long before now. I am without a vehicle and out of pocket for a repair that should not have occurred.

When attempting to park the car I am able to shift into park, however, I get a message on the dashboard to “shift to park”. Dashboard also shows a “p” to reflect car is in park creating a contradiction on the dashboard of displayed items. When this occurs the car will not shut off. Dealer service has indicated this is not producing an error code, they have had many complaints, and the issue is not covered by power train warranty and part is back ordered. I am very concerned about the safety of my vehicle given the indicated failures of the shifting mechanism and Chevrolets inability to remedy the issue due to unavailable parts.

My car is now not reading my key 80% percent of the time. The vehicle turns off while driving down the road. Saying no “remote detected”. The key has been locked in the Car twice. Which should be impossible. I’ve been stranded outside of my vehicle at night in Atlanta for long periods of time. Trying to get the vehicle to unlock because it is not reading the key.

No it hasn't been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - Once you put the shift lever in park and try to turn off the car the warning lamp comes on and says Place in park. But the shift lever is in park. You are unable to move the shift lever. I don't know the exact date it first started happening but I believe it was at the beginning of the year.

05/29/24 I took this vehicle to Cronic Chevrolet in Griffin, Ga due to check engine light being on. Code detected purge pump it was still under warranty at that time only had 43,906 miles on had to get the purge pump replaced. Several weeks after getting it back I kept getting a shift to park message come up when trying to put it in park then started having trouble getting it to go into drive. I have had so many close calls from people almost bashing into me because my car will not go into drive and you constantly have to switch in and out of gears for it to finally go in. Its sucking the had right out due to it not shifting gears properly. The code reader detected transmission control module which I find to be faulty and understand there are serval recalls on this specific vehicle , when it started this issue it didn’t even have 50,000 miles on it!

Odometer: 50,379 Purchased used on April, 1 2024 Odometer: 47,027 Brought to dealer on 8/28/2024 for service. About two weeks ago we had a "Shift to Park" message is displayed on the DIC after the vehicle was placed in Park and shut off. Started it again and then put it in drive then back to park. Message went away. Then over the course of the next week this happened many more times to the point where we were stuck in a shopping parking lot because we could not leave the car as it kept beeping to fix the issue. Made appointment with dealer. After Diagnose from dealer they said it needed to perform Service Bulletin #23-NA-119, recommend replacement of transmission control. They at first wanted us to pay for it and we advised dealer we had a Chevy warranty. After a few days they advised it would be covered under warranty except for our $50 deductible. Main problem is the part # 13545091 was not available locally and dealer had to research to find part. Advise it could take until 9/26/24 to find part. This should be a no charge RECALL by the Mfg. as this can be a safety issue and to ensure more parts are in stock by dealer.

Dealership removed and replaced all components damaged with leak. This problem started again Friday, 8/23/24. Did not resolve and got stronger. In order to get it unstuck I have to restart the car, put the car in drive or reverse, put the car back in park and then try to take the key out again. This has to be repeated sometimes as many as 10 times for it to finally release the key. I have read about many other people having this same problem and eventually the key not coming out at all and they've had to have it cut out. I have an appointment at a dealership for August 1st (the first available appointment) and my vehicle is just out of warranty so I'm told I have to pay to have this fixed. This is clearly a manufacturers defect and first starting happening before my vehicle was out of warranty, I just didn't realize that it would become a much bigger issue the longer it kept happening.

I first noticed an issue about a year ago when an electrical blaring noise was coming from my speakers followed by popping and crackling noises. I have taken my car into the dealership several times without resolution. Since then, I have noticed excessive humidity in the vehicle and recently found the trunk was flooded. I took the vehicle in to the dealership again, and they say the interior fabric is compromised now and the electrical sounds I was experiencing are coming from electrical damage inside the body. I have now read another review online from someone who had the exact same experience with this make and model. I believe this is a safety hazard to drivers who are unknowingly driving around for months in a vehicle that could be flooding and could cause severe damages like in my case. I have documents to support these claims, but I do not have electronic copies. If someone reaches out to me I can provide hard copies.

We had the vehicle checked out and it was the Turbocharger that was bad. Turbo failure resulted in loss of engine power. I was driving down the road and the engine light came on and I got a notification that the engine was in reduced power mode. The vehicle became very sluggish and lost speed. While I was fortunate that I was not on a busy road, had the incident happened on the highway it could have been dangerous given my loss of speed. What's of greater concern, this appears to be a common problem on the Trailblazer message boards. The dealer confirmed it was the turbo and stated that the part was on back order. This indicates the problem is occurring very frequently. The vehicle only has 33k miles on it.

Shift to Park comes on after vehicle is shifted into park and the vehicle is turned off. You have to hit the gear shift or jiggle it to register it is in park or start the vehicle and shift to neutral and back to park and turn it off a few times to get it to register it is in park.

It is a common issue among these, lots of other people have the same issue with the “engine power is reduced” message popping up, per the 2021 Chevrolet TrailBlazer facebook group. My issue is with the vehicle's car seat latches. The latches in the Chevy Trailblazer (Manufactured) are designed in a way that is unsafe and also hard to install a car seat for children who are 2 and under or under 40 pounds. Car seat safety is important for all children as it could lead to damages of the head, neck, and or spine. I have installed 4 car seats in my vehicle (Chevy Trailblazer) with it being difficult but overcoming the problem. However, the car seat detaches itself due to the location of the latch (Vertically Slanted). After using the car seat multiple times, it cannot withstand the tension due to the location of the latch which then releases itself from the latch, potentially allowing for more problems to occur and is concerning for the safety of a child. I have, as of now, not have to deal with this problem with other manufacturers like Toyota, Kia, Tesla, Volkswagen, and Honda, where the latch is horizontal. The latch on GMs Vehicles is Vertically Slanted and located left or right of the manufacturers noted car seat latch display/button on the seat. I have only seen the Chevy Trailblazer (My Vehicle) and the GMC Yukon with this problem. I am sure there are others.

Shortly after purchase, one of the factory tires had a side bulge. The dealer indicated in their opinion, was from a pot hole. However when they checked the rim, it was not damaged. I had tire replaced. Then at 39K miles, all the the other tires were already getting worn out. I've NEVER had tires wear about pre-40K miles in all my life. At local belle tire, they told me that the Hankook tires that come with new cars are not the same quality as those you would buy at tire store. But I submitted a replacement claim to Hankook, as the belle tire rep suggested, but they would not honor anything. Simply said need tire insurance. I notice when buying the car new, the dealers offer extra (cost) tire insurance. Must be because the are lousy, compared to buying at a local tire store. Now at 42K I'm replacing tires already. New cars should come with same quality tires as you buy at tire stores. And I will tell everyone about poor quality of Hankook brand.

Very strong gas smells coming from under the hood. After driving a few miles, fumes enter the passenger compartment. Had to stop parking it in our garage for fear of a fire before I could get it into the dealer. I've been told it's a fuel leak associated with the fuel rail system. I'm 20 days past my warranty and only at 29,000 miles. It's a nearly $2000 fix. GM was aware of the problem in 2021 as there is a service bulletin for this item. I should have been notified in 2021 that there was a possible problem which could lead to a fire or explosion.

Front wipers spray only on one side, the working side changes, sometimes it only squirts on one side, sometimes it sprays over top the roof of the car, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Reservoir is full, rear window spray nozzles always work properly. I'm unable to wash away debris, in winter with snowy roads it can leave salty/muddy windows. Sap from the trees & pollen create poor visibility. No warning lights are on, never have been. This happened without incident.

I was waiting at the traffic light and the car just shut off without any warning and it wouldn't start back up. After a few minutes a warning came on that said "battery low-start vehicle." When I tried to start the vehicle it still wouldn't start. Then all of the warnings lights were flashing on the dashboard the wipers were moving back and forth but the vehicle still wouldn't start then the car just shut down and and nothing would come on. This happened in the lane of traffic at the red light. With the hazard lights not working it was a dangerous situation. The police were called to be there with me until the tow truck came so no one would run into the vehicle. I feel that the fact that no warning light flashed before the car just shut off was very dangerous especially after it wouldn't start back up. I had just purchased this vehicle (used) December 2022. I am very frustrated because now I don't have a vehicle to get to work. I only purchased this vehicle because my KIA was stolen and totaled October 2022 and I needed transportation to get to work. While traveling down the road at approximatly 35-40 mph with my two minor children, the steering was not responding properly and the car kept attempting to veer to the right. I let off the gas to slow down since the brakes were also not seeming to respond well. Upon attempting to brake and execute a left hand turn, the car would not turn at all despite the steering wheel being as turned as far to the left as possible, the lights began flashing on the dashboard for "PowerSteering" ESC warning. We ended up going through the intersection without stopping and narrowly missed another car in intersection and went completely off the road into a snowbank. Fortunately we were not injured. We drove the vehicle back home (approximately one mile) by overpowering the steering and manually forcing the car to stay on the road. Throughout the lane assist kept attempting to autocorrect and drive us off the road. The car was damaged by the impact and the mechanic said that the tie rod is bent and has no idea what could have caused this to happen. I am somehow now responsible for the situation. I have asked what caused the power steering to fail, and Chevy claims that they have no record of any power steering issues (which research has shown to be untrue) and in order to determine IF it failed and/or why, they need to make the repair and then run additional tests to re-create the issue. This car only has 21,000 miles on it, and has never been in an accident before this.

Someone pulled out in front of me going 45 mph and totaled my car when they smashed into the front drivers side of my vehicle. Caused black screen, no back up camera, no beeping when in reverse and coming close to another object, no sound when blinkers or hazard lights are on, no radio, no power to front charger, no ability to use front auxiliary cable. Initially a loud buzzing noise which could not be controlled by the volume dial. Problems began on or around October 7, 2022. Purchase was made September 2020. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Problem can be reproduced/is constant. Problem was reproduced by dealer. Vehicle was inspected by dealer. There were no other warning lamps.

Shortly after purchasing my trailblazer in 2020 I noticed a glitch in the speakers where it would make a crackling noise (mainly when the car is off). it hasn’t been consistent when it happens, but since observing the issue I notice the issue happens most often when I close the trunk (by pressing the button on the trunk door.) no warning lights shows when this happens. Although this doesn’t seem to be a harmful safety issue, anything electrical can result to something more serious. I plan to bring this issue up at my next oil change at the dealership.

The vehicle began to give the error Shift to Park when the vehicle was in park and after the power was shut off. Because of this I cannot safely turn off the vehicle because it cannot recognize it's in park and will run the battery down whenever I use the vehicle. This problem has been previously presented in other models manufactured by GM. I am taking the vehicle in for inspection at a local Chevrolet dealership on 9/24/22 at 8 am. This issue first started around the second week of September this year with one or two errors here and there. Now, it happens every time I drive the vehicle.

I have had the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer since May 2021, it has been 15 months, not even a year and a half off the lot and i have had wayyyy too many problems. I have has service the stabilitrak stability control system, service the antilock breaking system multiple times within the first 8-10 months. I had to get a part replaced due to that. The dealership had my vehicle literally for a month after i bought it, had an open tak report through Gm due to my engine light coming on. Gm did not know why it was happening. Had 2 service engine and transmission system alerts. I have had a fuel injector and line replaced as well within the first 6 months. I have had to get the system updated 2 times also. Now August 2022 im having service battery, or starter. Have had my vehicle shut off on me at an intersection then come back on two different times. My breaks have been squealing ever since i got this vehicle. Dealership confirms everything is in good standing. I have not had a vehicle where breaks squeal when i am coming to a stop or backing out of my driveway constantly. Dealership keeps saying oh its just probably dust or dirt, spray them out and it should stop. But, it has not for about a year now! Unbelievable! I am going it to trade this vehicle in. This is wayyy too much to be dealing with when you pay $30 grand on a vehicle!

Started having issues where all the electronics on the car go blank/dead. So far when this has happened it has not caused the car to be inoperable but in the meantime I have found that the car is leaking (seriously leaking) under the entire drivers seat was soaked. I noticed a while back that it smelled like mildew in the car, I had it cleaned and put a damp rid pouch in there, that basically absorbed in 2 days, but never could find the water. This week I found the water...under the drivers seat. This car has been leaking for 2 years! Last night, I get in the car and plug in my phone to charge and get a message of LIQUID DETECTED Charging is not available because liquid has been detected in the lightning connector. Disconnect to allow the connector to dry. At the same time the phone was plugged in everything started to crackle and squeal through the radio and then no radio at all. There is no way all these components are not damaged. Meanwhile I have take it to a dealer for them to do a "water test", I have zero confidence that this water test will yield any positive results and I am without a vehicle . So I am trying to get this info out anywhere I can to see if other people had similar issues and what can be done. It can not be safe to drive a car that the electronics have water damage.

The ABS and stability control systems crash without warning. Randomly on a trip the check engine light randomly comes on without warning and immediately my break system stops being effective. I have to put full force on the brake pedal to start breaking the vehicle and coming to a stop becomes difficult. This puts my life as well as others at risk as I would not be able to break on time. The problem immediately goes away after turning the car off and turning it back on leading me to believe it’s simply a computer problem. The service provider Chevrolet has not reproduced or confirmed the issue to my knowledge. Purchased my 2021 Chevy Trailblazer in August 2021 with less than 100 miles. After about 500 miles the Lane assist, forward collision assistant and the automatic breaking features all stopped working. Factory reset has been set several times with no fix. The buttons on the steering wheel do not do anything when pressed. I have been told by the dealership they will need to keep my car for at least 3 days to disassemble and trouble shoot the issue, however they do not have a rental to provide me in the mean time. I am now at around 10K miles because this is my daily driving and only vehicle. I am not comfortable that some of the safety features have stopped working and fear that any day something else could stop working that is more important to the functioning of the car.

I had a smell of gasoline inside and under hood of 2021 Trailblazer LT 1.3l. Took to Chevrolet dealer.Confirmed gas odor. Gas was leaking from fuel rail.Sevice manager said it was pouring out. Found out GM has Service bulliten for this PIP5765 that covers both Chevy Trailblazer with 1.3l and Buick Encore GX with 1.3l motors. This has been a scary situation considering gas fumes could have caught fire.

I have had multiple issues with the car since I've purchased it. The brakes continuously make noise, and the automatic Emergency Braking DOES not work. The tire pressure sensors don't work, they have the wrong tire pressure for each tire, and the tires constantly over inflate. Also, my front bumper is coming off. I've taken it to the dealership for all of these things, the dealership said the brakes seem fine, the front bumper clips seem to have warn down for some reason, and that they reset my tire pressure. There was no permanent solution. They put a band aid on my problem and I still have all of these issues.

Brakes squeal when in drive. Any amount of pressure on the brakes the car shakes and a loud squeal begins. Bought the car new in May and this issue started in June. Have taken the car to the dealership since June to try and figure out the issue. Dealership states that rotors and brake pads are in perfect condition, thus the issue being the actual brake component. Dealership will not fix despite car being under warranty because there is no bulletin out for car model. I am very concerned for my safety and the safety of others when driving, especially since the dealership knows their is an issue and will not fix it.

225/60R17 99H Bought trailblazer brand new from dealer March 2021. I've owned many cars, street cars, etc. I've never had a tire with 10K miles develop a bulge in the side. I took back to dealer as warranty book showed covered to 12K, but they said 'upon inspecting, it appears from a pothole'. That was strange to me, as we never hit anything or the rim does not have a mark or bent or anything.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal popping sound before the power steering and brakes failed. Additionally, the brake pedal became extremely sensitive while gently being depressed causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The contact had to restart the vehicle to correct the failure. The failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Frontier Motors Incorporated (31406 US-18, Winner, SD 57580) on numerous occasions and diagnosed with electrical system failure. The dealer reprogrammed the power steering angle sensor and rear differential clutch sensor; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. A case was being processed by the Better Business Bureau under the Lemon Law and was awaiting final repair notice from the dealer. The failure mileage was 1,574.

I was driving on the freeway and my panoramic moonroof literally exploded from the inside out. It sounded like a gunshot almost. Then the glass shattered. I am glad that the screen was closed otherwise all the glass would have gotten in my car.

The brakes squeal and squeak when in reverse and applying the brake when going forward at low speed. I have been told there is a GM service bulletin that says this is normal for the brakes to make this very loud noise. I have not seen this bulletin and have not been able to find the bulletin online. At any rate this is not normal for a car with 7600 miles to have brakes that squeal all the time. I have taken this to two different dealers and get the same answer but I do not believe it is proper to make a customer deal with this when they spend close to 30k on a car and you will not fix it because it does not cause a safety issue. Bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage should mean just that.

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the AUTO-STOP was not functioning properly. Additionally, the doors would not unlock on two separate occasions. Additionally, the keyless ignition button would not turn off the vehicle until the contact applied pressure while pressing on the button. The contact also stated that the tire pressure sensor was faulty. The check engine warning light and reduced power message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions and the dealer informed the contact that the AUTO-STOP function was unprogrammed due to the weather however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer reprogrammed the AUTO-STOP software and tire pressure sensor however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was awaiting a callback. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

Was in the middle of a 3 car collision. After about 5 min engine started smoking and a fire started. Fire slowly escalated and fully engulfed the entire car.

Cutter Chevrolet in Honolulu had a recall on my vehicle for a jack unable to support the vehicle. I had the appointment to address the recall. Their solution was to remove the jack without a replacement. Now I no longer have a jack. It will now cost me to have someone else to change a wheel that I can do myself. I have a spare tire with no jack in my new vehicle

On June 10, 2021 I was driving home at a speed of approx 65 miles an hour from the grocery store on Interstate 255 when all my side airbags suddenly exploded. My 2021 Chevy Trailblazer RS was 3 months old and had 3500 miles on the car. After exiting the vehicle, I found the rear passenger tire was flat. Upon changing the tire, we discovered that the wheel had split apart. There is no damage to the body or underneath the vehicle. There was no large potholes or debris anywhere in the area. Upon starting the investigation with GM regarding the incident, they reported that the air bags acted as they should and they would not take liability. When both myself and the service manager of the dealership questioned why the report had not one single mention of the tire/wheel which caused the deployment of the airbags in the entire investigative report, we were both told "the airbags acted as they should" and the decision was final. The service manager was in shock and has stated repeatedly that based on the facts gathered and condition of the tire/wheel, there was some sort of defect in the wheel which caused it to explode. There is absolutely no evidence to make him think that I hit anything or caused the incident. GM will not discuss the case any further and told me to turn it over to my insurance. The fact that they did not investigate the cause (the exploding of a wheel for no apparent reason) makes me believe they are trying to cover up a potential issue that could impact the safety of other 2021 Trailblazer owners. The air bag replacements are on backorder and are predicted to take months. I am currently without a vehicle.

Within 3 months of owning the vehicle I started to hear a crackling sound coming from the passenger speaker in the door. At first it was loud and I thought someone hit me. It did it several times and then stopped. It has happened about a dozen times since I have owned the vehicle. When I took it in for my oil change I told them and they could not replicate it so they didn't know what it was and didn't see anything. It actually just happened again yesterday so when I take it in again I will tell them about this. We thought maybe it was only when it rained but that is not the case, it just happens and I can't think of anything that is consistent when it does. It comes out loud and scares me every time. I just want this fixed, I have only owned my car for 1 year now and like everything but this.

The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no defect with the tire. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,100.

I WAS DRIVING MY BRAND NEW 2021 TRAILBLAZER (ONLY 160 MILES) AND STEPPED ON THE BRAKE TO STOP AT THE END OF A STREET. SUDDENLY, I GOT ALERTS THAT MY BRAKE SYSTEM HAD FAILED AND RIGHT AFTER THAT, ANOTHER ONE, SAYING THAT THE POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. AT THAT POINT, IT REQUIRED MUCH MORE PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE TO STOP, AND THE BRAKES DIDN'T SEEM VERY RESPONSIVE. LATER I SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, AND WHEN I STARTED IT AGAIN, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON, BUT I THINK THE BRAKES WERE WORKING AGAIN. I'M NOT SURE BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE IT, JUST IN CASE.

DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SID DILLON CHEVROLET - FREMONT(2500 E 23RD ST, FREMONT, NE 68025) WHERE IT HAD REMAINED IN THEIR POSSESSION TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. ON 8/9, NOTICED PAINT BUBBLING/PEELING ON HOOD. 8/15 - 8/20, DEALERSHIP HAD GRILL REPLACED AND HOOD PAINTED. 8/21, NOTICED HOOD NOT PAINTED COMPLETELY. 8/24 - 8/28, DEALERSHIP HAD VEHICLE TO REPAINT HOOD. 9/17 FOUND FENDER CLIPS ON FRONT PASSENGER SIDE MISSING.10/2 BACK TO HAVE CLIPS INSTALLED. DEALER DIDN'T ORDER ENOUGH CLIPS SO WAITING ON MORE CLIPS TO ARRIVE. 10/16 BACK TO HAVE REMAINING CLIPS INSTALLED. 10/27 NOTICED PAINT PEELING UNDER PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT. I HAVE AN OPEN CLAIM WITH GM REGARDING ALL OF THIS.

WHEN IT IS DARK OUTSIDE AND YOU PUT THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THE LIGHTS NEXT TO THE BACK UP CAMERA CAUSES THE SCREEN INSIDE THE CAR TO SHOW BRIGHT WHITE. THERE IS NO WAY TO SHUT THE SCREEN OFF WHEN IN REVERSE. I HAVE TURNED THE BRIGHTNESS ALL THE WAY DOWN BUT IT IS STILL VERY BRIGHT MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE YOUR SURROUNDINGS SAFELY. I HAVE ALMOST HIT A TREE AND DROVE INTO A DITCH TRYING TO REVERSE AT DARK. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
