2020 Chevrolet Colorado Problems & Complaints

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal went to the floorboard while depressed, and the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The vehicle was able to drive to the residence. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the hydraulic line was rubbing against the parking brake cable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 102,400.

the power brake booster was found broken on 1/29/2026. Through repairs, i've found vacuum pump race being completely damaged and exhaust camshaft end that linked with vacuum pump is also damaged.

The contact was informed that the VIN was not under a Manufacturer Extended Warranty coverage related to the failure. The failure mileage was 119,000.

While driving in grocery store parking lot. The brake booster completely failed with no notice almost causing me to hit someone. I had to throw the truck in park while moving to avoid hitting pedestrians. The brake pedal is completely compressed to the floor as I was stomping the brakes in an attempt to stop. Had I not thought quick enough I would of hit at least 2 people.

My truck has been shuddering and when put into gear it sounds like the bottom is falling out of it. Now when I am driving my truck is shuddering very hard and skipping gears. I have been having this issue since I bought the truck with only 47k miles and I have only put 40k miles on this truck in the past 3 years that I have owned it. I keep the maintenance up on my truck and have since I’ve owned it and I have already put a complaint into GM, when I bought the truck it has had electrical issues and the dealership is not helping. My warranty is out on this truck and GM said there is nothing they can do to help with my transmission or electrical problems. This truck has not even hit 100k and I’m so upset that I am having these many problems and no one is wanting to help, they just want my money. I can’t afford an attorney or I would sue this dealership for selling me a Lemon and for GM knowing about there faulty transmission in my year truck and not standing behind it!

Had transmission serviced, was told the transmission was no good and about to fail Quoted $8000.00 dollars to repair

Vehicle has 54,250 miles. Vehicle has a rear differential bearing going out by hearing and feeling the grinding at all speeds and the transmission jerks shafting gears. Both could cause an accident if totally fail. Chevrolet has a service bulletin out from what my local garage says. Mechanic also says Chevrolet will not warranty the product. Vehicle is now being looked at by a Chevrolet dealer. The vehicle is OUT OF WARRANTY. My son, who is [XXX] and not familiar with vehicles thought it was the tires causing the whining and vibration. The vehicle experienced a sudden and progressive transmission failure during normal driving conditions. Symptoms included harsh shifting, delayed engagement, loss of power transfer, and eventual inability to reliably propel the vehicle. The failure created a safety risk due to unexpected loss of acceleration and unpredictable drivetrain behavior while in traffic. The transmission issue was not the result of improper maintenance. The vehicle was maintained according to manufacturer recommendations. The condition worsened over time and ultimately required dealer inspection. A dealership inspected the vehicle and attributed the failure to a transmission defect, characterizing it as a maintenance issue despite no evidence of neglect. The transmission and related components remain available for inspection upon request. No warning lights provided adequate advance notice prior to the functional failure. The issue occurred without driver misuse and under ordinary driving conditions.

Torque converter shudder. Had dealer do the recommended flush which cost $800 and still has same issue.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while accelerating, the vehicle vibrated and shook abnormally, as if driven over ripples on the roadway. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the tires were balanced. The contact picked up the vehicle and stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission oil failed to heat up as intended, and condensation had built up in the transmission. The dealer added Mobil 1 transmission oil to heat up the oil and remove the condensation. The contact was informed by the dealer that the vehicle needed to be driven between 200 and 400 miles to remove the condensation. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and filed a claim and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Defective Torque Converter at estimated 92k miles even after following all preventive maintenance schedule.

Transmission shuttering mostly at interstate speeds but as slow as 35 mph. Under light to medium light pedal acceleration. Truck feels as if it's going over Road ripples. I'm disappointed to find out this is a common problem with Chevy 8-speed Transmissions. It happens every time I drive it. From time to time it'll shake the truck a little violently

The component that failed is the camshaft position actuator. My check engine light came on. Had my vvt solenoids replaced and the mechanic told me the actuator needs replacing. GM has issued a special bulletin to fix this part for the same year make and model as my truck but my vin doesn’t meet the criteria. I have only owned this vehicle for 8 months.

This vehicle suffers from a torque converter/transmission shudder after the transfer mission fluid heats up. My initial complaint to the selling dealer and they did not follow the GM posted procedure and initially charged me for the service. I’ve changed dealerships and I’ve been told it the temporary fix is to do a flush and there is no permanent fix by GM. I have had situations where and unexperienced driver would have definitely got into a car accident and I don’t let anybody drive my car because I believe it is unsafe. So far the dealer has been accommodating while under warranty but advised I reach out to GM who then advised to review my documents I file an NHTSA complaint. What occurs when the vehicle is not in warranty and the vehicle continues to shudder. I have included the service bulletin and repair invoices.

Unknown. When my truck reaches a certain speed it is jumping or missing, it feels like a brake is sticking but I’m told it is a problem with my transmission, torque converter, going bad. It is getting worse. It cuts the power down on the vehicle. If I can go faster than 60 it doesn’t do it.

Vehicle began exhibiting an intermittent shake between 45-60 MPH which felt like driving on a wash board road. In addition it would shift hard/bog down between 1st and 2nd gear. Took to a dealer for service and was told a TSB had been issued to flush the transmission, this was performed. Condition returned within months and after multiple additional visits where the dealer claimed they couldn't replicate the issue they finally determined the torque converter needed to be replaced at approximately 70,874 miles. By this time the warranty had expired (60,000 mile warranty) and I was told I would have to pay for it.

The vehicle was taken to Auto Zone and was diagnosed with exhaust camshaft position actuator failure. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with exhaust camshaft position actuator failure. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because the vehicle was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

Driving on the highway speed limit 65-70 my truck started decelerating and breaks got hard and could not use break. Had to get home using emergency petal break and drive. My truck is only 2020 model for this type of problem. Want to see if I can get this fixed with the manufacture defect warranty. Took my truck to a Chevy dealer and they are saying it can be a faulty vacuum pump.

Third brake light seal leaking causing electrical connecs to corode and loose connection rendering the third brake light to stop functioning.

Heard a humming noise ( spaceship like almost) coming form back of the truck. Took it in and mechanic said there was metal shavings in the differential fluid and gears where bad. Had to get the differential replaced. most cars go their entire life without having this issue.

Transmission shuddering shaking almost stopping with 60,292 miles used

This has been an ongoing issue. Truck currently has 45,000 miles on it. When driving on the interstate for 30 minutes, transmission flutters causing the cab to shake. It feels like running over rumble strips. Flutter lasts for several seconds and gets worse (longer duration, harder flutter) as time goes on. Dealer won't diagnose it because no codes are recorded. No dash lights light. The only indication is the flutter itself. Chevrolet cust support says their hands are tied - it is the dealers responsibility. The dealer will not devote personnel for 30 minutes to replicate the issue. Issue comes out of no where startling the driver - not safe. Your first reaction is either to brake or gas to stop the flutter/shake. Flutter is stronger as time goes by. This issue has been identified for other years of the same vehicle, and several GM vehicles. It is still an issue in 2020, but not recognized by GM. Multiple complaints are on the internet for this issue by other 2020 Colorado owners.

Drive ability issues, feels like going over cattle guard,shudders when accelerating around 40-60 mph. the vehicle shudder's abnormally. there are no warning lights illuminated. Took to local Chevrolet dealership where a service bulletin, TSB: 21-NA-047 was discovered to address the issue. The dealer recommended a transmission fluid flush. Mileage on this vehicle was 67,631.

No warning lights are illuminated but have this consistent violent Engine rattle/shuddering that is getting worse and worse. Also when looking under the hood the Crank pulley wobbles/rattles when truck is idle. Was told it could be the harmonic balancer going out due to there being a gap between that and the Crank. The truck only has 100,000 miles on it. I got it used at 88,000 miles and have barely had the truck for a year now, the steering wheel was intermittently difficult to maneuver and no warning lights illuminate, the truck shifts hard from 1st to second gear now and seriously hesitates to accelerate. This is extremely concerning and apparently an ongoing complaint for this vehicle and something should be done about it. Not only does it cause financial destress on the owners of the vehicles but also a safety hazard to the driver

IGNITION LOCKED UP. This situation is the same as another complaint posted earlier this year by another owner. Ignition key will not turn in the igntion switch. Tried all the internet fixes. Turning steering wheel, bumping transmission lever, tried spare key, etc. Nothing worked. $225 to tow to the dealer. Still waiting to hear from back from dealer.

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the abnormal shaking was caused by the torque converter. The dealer flushed the transmission; however, the failure has persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

COMPLAINT # 11630574 Transmission Shudder, took to dealership on 09/28/2023 had transmission flushed and changed fluid to new style transmission fluid, per GM under warranty. I was told that if it needed done again that i would have to pay to have it done and would cost approximately $400- $500. On 12/13/2024 the truck is shuddering again at 48,700 miles.

Check engine light appeared when starting vehicle. Code read by local auto parts store. Thermostat failed at less than 50k miles, causing fan to run constantly and for an extended period time after turning engine off, despite outside temperature. Causes potential for overheating due to not reading temperature. Thermostats are rated to last 100k miles. Is not covered under Chevrolet's 5 years/100k miles powertrain warranty. Upon research, this has been an extremely common issue for Colorado trucks for many years and has not been addressed by Chevrolet. Many blogs are available online. This vehicle was a certified vehicle bought just over 1 years ago and would not be fixed by any warranty according to the dealership purchased from (Bob Fisher).

Within the last 2 months, I have had momentary steering problems at low speed. They continue to become worse with time, no longer safe to drive. Dealer has vehicle now and informs me that it will cost $3000 for a known/existing corrosion of electrical connections in the power steering assembly. Via the internet, the steering gear torque sensor cover assembly needs to be replaced. Because this cover assembly has leaked, the wiring harness also has to be replaced. 7 hours of labor, front end alignment, etc! The loss of power steering in a turn has nearly caused several accidents till I got it home. Dealer confirms what I experienced in test drive, internet has many examples of same problem and solution. There are no warnings of impending loss of control, one minute everything is fine, the next you are fighting for control.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed and the dealer became aware that the vehicle was shuddering at 35 MPH. The dealer recommended a transmission fluid flush and refill. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact was also made aware of TSB: 21-NA-047. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.

The component that’s failing on my truck is the Apple car play and a check engine light (CODE P0024) which indicates Exhaust Camshaft Position, Bank 2. My safety and others safety is put at risk while having these issues: 1.) The Apple Car Play, having to take my focus off of driving to try and unplug my phone and plug it back in to HOPEFULLY fix the issue of using the navigation or phone calls while I’m driving during long road trips is extremely dangerous for myself, my loved ones and others on the road around me. 2.) This error code is extremely unsettling to experience while 500 miles away from home and has caused an incredible amount of stress on multiple occasions. The light constantly turns on and off, leaving me completely clueless as to if I’m going to be left stranded on the side of the road. Both issues have been looked at by an automotive repair shop. And I’ve been advised to seek information to if there are any recalls regarding this issue. Check engine lights display for the Exhaust Camshaft Position Bank 2.

The Automatic 8-Speed Transmission completely deteriorated after 4 years/64,000 miles exactly after the Power Train Warranty. No warning lights or signals identified me of the problem, only a noticeable shuddering when driving at highway speeds. This vehicle is currently at the dealership where they have confirmed I will need a new transmission to replace the faulty original manufacturer's transmission. My safety and others' safety is/was affected by a faulty piece of equipment that was destroyed with regular use. This could potentially lead to my vehicle being unable to shift up/down during traffic leading to an injury or worse.

At about 58000 miles my vehicle began to shake violently as I drove it. I initially thought the wheels were out of balance or I had a leaf spring issue. Had both issues looked at and that was not it. Took it to a Chevy dealer who wanted 200 dollars just to look at it. By this time I was just over 60k miles. Did a lot of research online and found that if you had the transmission flushed that would resolve the issue. Had they done and problem solved. Now at 80k miles and it's doing it again. Called Chevrolet dealership who told me it would be 5 weeks, $500 and I should probably call another dealer to see if I could get it in and that is for them to just flush it again. Chevrolet has a well known issue with these transmissions and are not offering any assistance but to try and get you past the 60k mileage where they say not their problem.

The oil cooler lines are rusting and leaking. Seems to be a common issue going back 9 years since they started making these new Colorados from information I found online. Totally unacceptable for a truck to that is 4 years old to be rotting out. One of the lines is a nightmare to replace because of where it is inserted into the motor. Mechanic had to remove the front differential, axle, ac compressor, drive shaft, fuse box, and intake to replace a 60$ oil line

Electrical connectors within the power steering system are corroding, which is causing the power steering system to stop working.

The rear differential suddenly broke down on my way to take the freeway,making a very clicking loud noise of the rear wheel and Colorado was responding to the transmission do to a differential failure.and I noticed that oil was all over the road

Simultaneously, the contact noticed white smoke exiting the front vents. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle did not stop as intended. The contact had to use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed that the ABS warning light illuminated. The contact's wife and [XXX] granddaughter were seated in the rear passenger seats. The contact's wife and granddaughter exited the vehicle first. The contact stated that just as the front driver's side door was opened for the contact to exit the vehicle, a big ball of fire entered the interior of the vehicle. The contact stated that after exiting the vehicle, the vehicle burst into flames. The fire department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The Police department arrived on the scene. However, there was not a Police report or fire report filed. The contact sustained a burn to his left eyebrow area and the left arm. Medical attention was provided to the contact. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was a total lost due to the fire. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with camshaft positioner actuator solenoid at #2. The contact was informed that the camshaft positioner actuator solenoid needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. Additionally, the contact was informed of Technical Service Bulletin: N232430470 with NHTSA ID Number: 10249185; however, the vehicle was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 103,110.

GM had sent a letter regarding recall on 2020 Chevy Colorado's Cam shaft in 2/2024. In 11/2023, I had my check engine light on and had the cam shaft issue fixed by my mechanic, before it was a known recall. By law, GM should pay me for the work done on the truck, but GM for the last 2 months have been, what I feel, playing with me and have not paid me. I have sent the required paperwork several times, been on the phone to confirm receipt of the paperwork, and how it looks; each time the customer service representative told me it looks great. Now, for the 3rd time, I had gotten email saying "we never received your paperwork". This is not right for a car manufacture to treat their customers this way and illegally not pay for their recalls.

A transmission shudder has developed. It seems to be a known issue that Chevrolet has tried to resolve, but it is present in my vehicle. It started to develop around 60,000 miles ago and has progressively gotten worse.

The contact was able to continue driving. The vehicle was taken to an Auto Parts Store, where it was diagnosed that the camshaft had failed. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring intermittently. The contact received notification of GM Special Coverage Bulletin Number: N232430470, which the contact related to the failure. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be covered because of a Salvage Title; however, the contact stated that the vehicle was salvaged due a collision that caused the front driver's side tire to separate. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.

Ignition Switch/Steering/Transmission??? When I went to start my truck the key would not turn. I tried to jiggle the steering wheel but it was locked up tight. I checked to make sure that it was fully in park and it was. As a last resort I kicked the front tire as the wheel was turned slightly. I tried again to jiggle wheel and turn key, after several attempts key finally turned and started. I moved truck forward straightening wheels then shut truck off and went inside to gather my things to run errands. When I came back out the ignition once again locked up on me. After numerous attempts I was finally able to get the key to engage. When I ran my errands I left the keys in the ignition and in the accessory position instead of fully shutting the engine off. THIS IS MY SAFETY CONCERN 1) My battery could run down leaving me stranded, 2) My truck could be stolen 3) I could have removed the keys and taken the chance that I MAY or MAY NOT have gotten the key to engage again, potentially leaving me stranded with groceries, etc. Dealership cannot get me in for more than a week from now, 9 days actually. It will be a Friday... who knows if they will even get it repaired in one day.

Transmission shudder unless I put vehicle in tow haul. Shudders at a out 35 40 miles per hour. Seems to be a recurring problem from 2018 forward. This vehicle has only about 25 000 miles on it. I researched and also spike to a transmission person and they think it may be a computer issue. Supposedly they replace transmission fluid if that doesn't fix they replace took convertor. The problem I have is this is a long time recurring problem that should be identified and fixed by General Motors. A vehicle with such low miles built 2 years after they are aware these transmissions have the what's called dreaded shudder shouldn't still be happening.

The vehcile shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear when it is newly started (regardless of the outside tempature).

Radio will suddenly stop responding to the controls in the vehicle. Volume will not adjust up or down. Power button will not work. While talking on the phone, the phone will disconnect from the speakers while in use and plugged in. This will require me to retrieve my phone while I'm driving and put it on speaker to continue my conversations.

There is a known issue with my truck, where the Transmission will all of a sudden lock up and then it shutters. The truck shakes violently and happens randomly. There is no rhyme or reason why this happens. Of course I'm barely over my warranty and Chevy in Austin states that it will be 3-5 days before they can review my truck. They won't provide a rental car or any help with a rental, so I'm expected to not have a car or figure out something myself to even have my truck looked at. My friend has GMC Canyon (same transmission) and had to have a level two mechanic replace his fluids. There are no warning lights or anything, this is a constant thing that is getting worse. There is a lawsuit in Canada for this issue that Chevy has known about and they haven't done anything about it.

The backup camera on the vehicle continually gets moisture in it resulting in a very blurry image on the display to the point of the backup camera being unusable at times, especially when it is dark. This creates a safety risk and an increased risk of hitting a moving vehicle or pedestrian when backing up as the vehicle is a pickup truck and has a very large blind spot behind it. We have run over toys in the driveway due to not being able to see them, fortunately no one has been injured as of the time of this writing. I have contacted Cheverolet extensively about the issue since July 2020 and they have been of no assistance. They acknowledged the issue and merely extended my warranty to 2025. A local dealership has replaced the camera a number of times and the issue remains unresolved; it has been replaced by the dealership nine times since 09/30/2020. The issue was first observed in July 2020 and the vehicle was purchased new from Cheverolet in May 2020. The vehicle does not go off-road, is parked in a garage, and replacing the camera has not corrected it. The vehicle was dropped off at the local dealership for approximately one week in May 2023 and the dealer reported that they were unable to replicate the issue. I subsequently reached out to the local dealership again in July and August with photos and videos showing the moisture on the inside of the camera lens and have yet to receive a response.

2020 Chevrolet Colorado: Purchased truck in February 2023 w/25000 miles. Since purchasing truck, key would get stuck in ignition. Key gets stuck in ignition frequently and would take several minutes to release, very frustrating. Was told I was not pushing key in to release. After several months and repeated key release issues, I called dealership and was told problem was due to shifter assembly(connection issue). Appointment made(August 12,2023) and issue confirmed and replacement of shifter assembly done. Was told the Chevrolet Colorado has issues with this problem. GM/Chevrolet should warrant this consistent issue. Out of pocket $471.00... mileage at time of replacement 39,859....

The rear end ring & Pinion bearings are effected. The rear end seems to be defective a high pitch noise is heard this started two weeks after purchase. It’s been repaired twice and it is going back for a third time on 7-17-23 and it barely has 67,000 on it. The contact stated metal shavings were found in the LSD fluid in the rear end.

The ignition key can not be removed after putting the vehicle in park and shutting it off. Many attempts are required to jiggle the shifter switch/steering column/key before it will release on most occasions. This is a common issue, going back years, to 2015. How can it still not be resolved? The safety issue here is one of having your vehicle stolen because you are forced to leave the key in the ignition for all to see; or owners are choosing to disable the steering lock prevention altogether, which has its own set of dangers. GM needs to solve and fix this. So far it sounds like they don't even understand the real problem.

The contact stated that the key was stuck in the ignition switch, and after several attempts, the contact was able to turn off and restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer on several occasions however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred and that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was jerking and lost motive power. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transmission control module (TCM) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted, and the check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine control module (ECM) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

Key CONTINUOUSLY gets stuck in the ignition and will not release even when engaged in park. Something is wrong with the shifter or the safety release and many other people have had this problem. My truck only has 24,000 miles on it and this problem has made me late to work multiple times AND has caused the battery to go dead!! This should be a recall and not something many customer have to deal with as it it a manufacturing problem and is probably a very easy fix for the manufacturer. This is ridiculous and I nor others should have to pay out of pocket $700 for this error to get fixed. Should’ve stuck with Ram.

Nov 2021 I took my truck to the dealership with complaints of a high pitch hum coming from the reared- drivetrain. They found metal shavings in the rear end fluid and said they had to rebuild the rear end 11/3/21. Last Thursday I took it back for the same reason. They found alot of metal shavings again 1/19/23.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel was intermittently difficult to maneuver. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer for routine services and the contact made the mechanic aware of the failure. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the diagnostic test and repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

Making right hand turns intermittently the steering started locking until let off the throttle then it would release happened couple of times trying to get into a dealer to look at it. But the last time making right hand turn steering wheel made a hard right hand turn to the stop and was so hard couldn't hold on to the steering wheel happened do fast couldn't do anything almost crashed into the shoulder of the road the electric steering system on a colorado is extremely dangerous never had anything like this happen with any other vechiles I've owned and had many different brands.

1)The exhaust system has leaked into the vehicles interior on at least two occasions May 7 2021 and July 24 2021. Arrangements can be made for vehicle inspection. We will be happy to help by any means we can. 2) There were both large amounts of exhaust fumes to the extent that I had to turn off the truck and exit the vehicle iimmediately. I might have died. Fortunately I was already parked so I did not need exit the roadway. It had been a long hot day in the mid to upper 90s I was about to take a brief nap in the vehicle and could have potentially died if I had fallen asleep as I was waiting in the parking lot on my partner to Complete a couple purchases and was anticipating about a 30 to 45 minute wait. The other time happen on May 7 2021 while my partner was driving on the highway by them self. The exhaust fumes were bad enough that all windows had to be rolled down and needed to exit hhhighway for the enext exit to park and exit the vehicle as soon as possible. Partner notes that they saw exhaust smoke/fumes coming iin from the vents with the air conditioner running . 3) The dealer has not been able to reproduce the problem. Vehicle has not been to a independent repair facility for the issue 4) No other inspections have been performed outside of dealership staff. 5) No warning lamps or messeges came on. The amount of exhaust fumes coming into the vechle was not a gradual ooccurrence but a sudden large amount of fumes. We will most likely be driving with the windows down partially, in addition to carrying a home carbon monoxide detector in the vehicle to assist in saving our lives and others on the road and to help document the problem.

The transmission on my 2020 Chevrolet Colorado often jerks when shifting and down shifting. This is especially true in colder temperatures where there is a significant hesitation and jerk when shifting from 1st gear to second gear. This is an automatic transmission. GM is aware of this issue and problem but are not resolving this problem as they indicated it should be acceptable. I have contacted both the dealer and GM. There have been no accidents related to this issue.

It's occurred twice and I recorded it the second time. The infotainment display goes to a green multicolored pixelated screen and doesn't allow me to see what is behind me. If I can't see like I'm supposed to with the reverse camera technology, would this not be a safety concern if a child, or handicapped person -blind, deaf, or both- got behind me somehow?

TSB 18-NA-355 SHOWS SAME ISSUE WITH 2017-2019 COLORADOS, BUT SHOULD PROBABLY INCLUDE 2020 MODELS AS THE CONDITION IS IDENTICAL TO WHAT MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING.

Power Steering suddenly stopped functioning as I was towing a trailer approx 5000 lbs. ‘Service Power Steering Drive With Care’ popped up on dash. No dealership visit as this just happened. Truck is unfit for driving safely.

MY NEW CHEVY COLORADO TRUCK (10000 MILES) HAS EXPERIENCED VIBRATION ISSUED BETWEEN 30-60 MPH. TYPICALLY IT HAPPENS WHEN IN CRUISE CONTROL BETWEEN 50-60 MPH AND I TRANSITION FROM GOING DOWNHILL TO UPHILL AND THE ENGINE IS STARTING TO RE-ENGAGE AND ACCELERATE TO MAINTAIN SPEED. IT FEELS LIKE I AM GOING OVER RUMBLE STRIPS AND ITEMS IN MY GLOVE BOX CAN BE HEARD VIBRATING AROUND. APPARENTLY IT IS COMMON ENOUGH THAT ON THE INTERNET IT IS KNOWN AS THE "CHEVY SHAKE". I AM WORRIED ABOUT PREMATURE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. ALSO, IF THE INTERNET IS CORRECT, CHEVY HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE PROBLEM SINCE AT LEAST 2018. ALSO, IF THE INTERNET IS CORRECT, CHEVY HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE PROBLEM SINCE AT LEAST 2018. I HAVE ALWAYS IT WAS THE PAVEMENT CONDITIONS UNTIL I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE. ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE RUNS IN RED AFTER 30-40 MINUTES OF DRIVING. AFTER 10-15 MINUTES THE GAUGE WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL THEN WILL GO BACK TO HOT. THIS IS BOTH CITY AND HIGHWAY DRIVING.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE WARNING "FAILED SEAT BELT" SUDDENLY DISPLAYED AND WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER COASTING TO A STOP THE OCCUPANTS EXITED THE VEHICLE AND FLAMES WERE PRESENT COMING FROM THE UNDER THE VEHICLE. A BYSTANDER EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES AND THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS CAME TO THE SCENE AND FILED REPORTS. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED AWAY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED REGARDING THE INCIDENT AND THE VEHICLE WAS EXAMINED BUT NO INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000. *BF*JB

AFTER CONDUCTING SOME RESEARCH I HAVE NARROWED IT DOWN TO THE ISSUE OF AIR TRAPPED IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM. ISSUE IS ISOLATED TO THE AREA OF THE HEATER CORE. HAVE ALSO SEEN MENTIONS OF SERVICE BULLETINS WHERE, IF THE VEHICLE IS UNDER WARRANTY, IT CAN BE BROUGHT IN AND THE TANK CAN BE DRAINED AND REFILLED PROPERLY.
